How to Sharpen a Garden Hoe with a File

Thanks for the video on how to use the file. My dad always did the sharpening for me. Since his death, I've used it without sharpening it for about 5 months. Needless to say my hoe is dull as dull gets. I should have got him to show me how to use the file, but I figured that he might turn the job over to me! 😆

Thank you for the video this really helps alo't because I didn't know a garden hoe should remain sharp when weeding weeds. I just bought one yesterday a 10 mill file to sharpen a hoe and also an AMES Pick Axe. Now if i wanted to remove rust from the blades what is the easiest way to do that?.
