Those back-angled Veff serrations are something else. Its like an angle on a coping saw. As you pull/cut the serrations cut INTO the object, not against or away. Its like a razor blade inside the knife blade. Its not that the Veff serrations are that amazing, what's amazing is that no one has thought of this like 50 years ago. My CRKT tactical knife makes all my other knives dusty. Thanks for your great work and sharpening tips.

I've had this sharpener for years and still learned something. And, Mr. Veff...your serrations are the most brutal flesh-eaters. I put Veff serrations on my last ditch CQ blade...ALL...DOWN...THE...EDGE!!! I hope that I never have to use it for its' intended purpose...cuz it's a one-way ticket to Hell-right after 20 years in the crowbar hilton. PS. Careful measurements also allowed me to alternate serrations on both sides of the tip 3 inches of my Busse field knife: turns enemy assholes into so much pulled-pork! Ya...def going to Hell! See y'all there: I'll put the coffee on.

Tom, when you sharpen a blade's edge, it looks like you're motion is edge leading. Is that correct? I'm confused about edge leading and edge trailing and what's the difference to the blade and the sharpening medium?

Thank-you Tom. I love my CRKT knife- Great price and great quality. I have owned 2 - ( lost the first one) I’ll be a customer for life. I use to like Kershaw but they just aren’t as durable as a CRKT.

What about the M16-10KS? I just got one and the grind is so small on the blade that I don't even know where to begin to try and sharpen it. Its almost flat but is pretty sharp.
