Very ingenious and informative! Finally an easy method on how to quickly resharpen a Tracker in the field, and the explanation is well detailed! I've been looking for a video like this for years now! Thanks!

Had the same idea except having a vice hold the knife upside down it makes more sense to me than a stone. Thanks

The Work Sharp field sharpener is fantastic. I keep a strip of Emory cloth the length of the compartment and pieces of jeweler's rouge in mine for when the strop needs to be redone. I've got strops I've made but never used them, just keep using the WS. There are some other types of sharpening stuff in my kit but seldom ever need them. This is a pretty nice video, I like the ideas you put into your field kit. Thanks for sharing with everyone!

Tempted to add a Tracker to the kit for years but maintenance is always what puts me off exotic blade shapes! My current field maintenance kit for a regular bushcraft style blade is a Falkniven DC4, my belt for stropping (there's a little compound rubbed into it already) and a cotton ball soaked in olive oil that lives in a little ziplock baggy in another little ziplock baggy. Thanks for the video, super useful for when I eventually get round to purchasing a Tracker!

SO many videos out there on sharpening TBTs, this is a good one! One suggestion - for the gunk, I keep alcohol pads handy (FAK) and isopropyl alcohol is great for sap removal, making sure of course to oil after.

Food grade mineral oil won’t go rancid. Might be worth giving that a try.
