I’ve been contemplating getting all of my knives professionally sharpened. My knives aren’t super special or anything but I do want them to be nice and sharp. I’m definitely going to look into this ceramic block.

Thanks for the info. Gonna try the ceramic. Makes sense. I was taught years ago that a steel actually does something magnetically to the knife. Guess they were wrong. Nothing worse then dull. Easiest way to the emergency room

For your MokaPot, try pre-boiling the water and cutting the heat as soon as coffee comes out, that's how my Nonna does it and it works wonder! (p.s love your content and would def appreciate a video on the moka pot) Cheers!

I use a lansky sharpening system, an dI always feel like it does a good job, but i also feel its a little awkward to hold at times. especially on kitchen knives. I dont have great knives, but i do try to take care of them. One thhing I do not have is a hone, so every few months i need to resharpen all my knives. Have you ever used an Lansky like system, and if so how do you feel the edge compares to a block whetstone?
