Im goint to try that on my intake. I hope that makes it lower so i dont have to cut the back of my stock hood

@nowayyyhose go for it! it doesn't really make it a lot lower tho. Maybe a quarter inch. It's mainly for looks if anything

@cliff_hatch3r I was asking for, I have a anderson compsite type tt hood and it's stock clearance. I didn't wanted to cut the back of the hood or lower the engine. Hopefully smoothing it prevents the hood cutting.

@nowayyyhose what year car? I didn't know there was hood clearance on aftermarket hoods with the boss intake. This went on a 13/14 Mustang with a cowl hood

Just got my boss 302 Intake. How do I take the top off without damaging it. The Part your gonna grind down. Don't wanna screw up my project.

Just take a plastic pry tool and pry up on it until the double side tape turns loose. Do it slowly and as evenly as you can. That's all that's holding it

@cliff_hatch3r it's ok. I'm a disabled vet building my daughter a show car. 2014 mustang gt. Wanna spice up the engine bay. Never done anything like this. Wanna buy the right tools ect.
