What if if don’t have the colourstay dye fixative what else can I use so that my colour does not fade after wash

The ColorStay Fixative is not required. You can add salt to your dyebath to help enhance the color.

Video Instructions: 1. wet fabric and lay flat 2. Bind fabric in pattern 3. In a basin, combine 1.5 gallons (5.68 liters) hot water, 1 cup salt, and 6 tbsp color. Mix. 4. Add fabric. Leave in for 3-5 minutes 5. Remove from dye bath. Do not unbind fabric 6. Rinse fabric with cold water, set aside. 7. Fill emptied and rinsed out basin with 1.5 gallons (5.68 liters) hot water and 2 oz (4 tbsp) of colorstay dye fixative. Mix. 8. Add shirt back in. Stir on and off for 20 minutes 9. Remove fabric and rinse in cold water again. 10. Remove bindings. 11. Wash on gentle on its own before wearing. Enjoy.

My colors are fading after washing i also tried using colorstay but the result is the same???

For best results with Fixative, use directly after dyeing with the hottest tap water. Then a cold wash.

hi rit dye! please help me out. i want to dye a 90% cotton 10% polyester, should i use the more dye or all purpose? thanks!!

As long you there is less than 35% polyester, then you can use our All-Purpose dye.
