**IMPORTANT UPDATE** I do not use Shipping Shields anymore as they can crease the edges of the cards. I would not recommend them anymore for any amount of cards. The other methods used in this video are still fine and can be used in place of Shipping Shields.

@@therealbluedaddy2493 I use the toploader method for orders under 13 cards, 3 cards in a penny sleeve in the toploader, then the rest of them in another penny sleeve outside of the toploader. Put this all in a team bag. Haven't had any complaints of damaged cards so far.

@@therealbluedaddy2493 I use half of a folded cardboard vending machine sleeve. Like the ones you would get if you bought a sticker or temporary tattoo. If you buy enough they are only about 1 cent each. I use Magic Scotch tape to attach it on the bottom and the top. The tape is strong enough to hold it but not strong enough it would damage the card if some how it got on it.

Thanks for the vid! I personally do like packing slips. I've had many incorrect shipments and now I always double check the order and an included packing slip doesn't force me to open my computer, login to tcg, search the order, then confrim the order accuracy. Just my experience

That's a good point, honestly when I'm ordering cards from tcgplayer most of the time i don't even check to make sure i got everything just because the process is so tedious/annoying when i have orders from like 20 different sellers at the same time.

Do you know what the threshold is for non-machinable? Have you ever had any issues with those larger envelopes being returned as non-machinable? I had been erring on the side of caution... but now it seems I really don't need to. I guess I have no idea when something is too "rigid". I assumed 10 cards stacked + top loader would have been too rigid or too thick. Was there a trial/error way you came up with 51 (17x3) or was it just that 50 is a nice round number and best not to tempt fate? Or a combination of anything over that, you're pushing the weight limit. Great video! Thanks!

51 is technically slightly over weight limit but they don't normally weigh envelopes, I would recommend staying under 3.5oz if you want to be safe which is a bit less cards. I very rarely get any returned, but it can happen no matter how you ship. The ones that are returned are often 1 card orders simply because I do more volume of those so its statistically more likely to have a problem haha.

I've shipped thousands of orders with this method and the failure rate is low. I have to say that some post offices might reject them at the point of origin though, due to being more strict. It really depends. I always recommend putting envelopes in a drop box instead of handing them to a clerk who will scrutinize it more.

Does the thermal label print out from the tcg player site or is it from a program that you have to type the address in then print? Also what printer is it?

I use a brother QL-800 printer for address labels, personally I just copy and paste the address and press print as I'm going through fulfilling orders

What would be the maximum weight threshold where I would need to use 2 Forever Stamps instead of 1 Forever + 1 Extra Ounce for orders above 1oz? For instance, if I were to have an order weighing 1.1 oz, would it make sense to use 1 Forever stamp with an Extra Ounce stamp? What about a weight of 1.5 oz or 2oz? Thank you for your assistance!

1 oz = 1 flag stamp 1.1 oz - 2 oz = 1 flag stamp + 1 additional ounce stamp 2.1 - 3 oz = 1 flag stamp + 2 additional ounce stamps 3.1 - 3.5 oz = 1 flag stamp + 3 additional ounce stamps

average weight for 14 cards is 5 oz. I just weighted 14 lorcana and 14 pokemon and it's about 5 oz. One piece 14 cards weigh over 6 oz. How are you getting 1.8 oz for 14 cards?

Hi, I've tried to send 51 cards in an envelope with regular stamp and 3 extra oz stamps. I got it returned for more postage. It says parcel rate. Why is that? it's the weights 3.8 oz

Hello, technically letters are only allowed up to 3.5 oz in weight but you can sneak extra through sometimes. It depends on your local post office. To be safe it is best to be under their official weight limit. In addition, it is always best to put envelopes in a drop box and not hand them to a postal clerk.

here's the thing with non-machinable stamps - if the postal worker thinks it can be machined then they'll run it through a machine even if you put the stamp so in a lot of cases it is a waste of money.

So u don’t put a tracking label for singles? I’m new selling on eBay and have sold 17 items already only I think I’ve messed up because from what I’ve heard people take advantage of sellers who don’t use tracking labels.

That is if your order is over $20 most of the time you wouldn’t want to put tracking on the card unless they pay for tracking. Also majority of the time the buyers are honest. (This is if you are selling cards if you are selling big items put tracking on it)

Yea those were my exact same thoughts, like who would try n scam for a card that’s like a dollar or two. Since I’m barely starting off, at the moment I mostly have $1-5 cards I’ve only had about 5 items that are $5+. Even if I’m pretty sure that if they didn’t receive it, the card would’ve jus bounced back to my own mailbox. I haven’t put tracking on any of the cards I’ve sold I’ve only been using the traditional stamp and buyer address and pray that it actually gets there.

On eBay you can use the standard envelope option to get tracked shipping for the same cost as a stamp, but yes tcgplayer doesn't have this yet so generally the standard is to ship low value orders untracked.

I've read that the envelope has to be able to bend so it gets sorted in the machine. How do you get this to go through with 51 cards? That's thicker than a booster pack.

the envelope can still flex a bit - I've never had a problem shipping large orders via PWE

@@CardThrone What about the toploader? Do you get the soft top loaders? People mentioned sorting machines can bend up to 90 degrees. Have you ever had toploaders get destroyed? Does the sorting machine only grab the edges which is how the middle can be so rigid? Thanks.

1.) No, non-machinable stamps are pointless to use, if the postal employee thinks it can be machined they will stick it in a machine even if you put a non-machinable stamp 2.) for up to 3.5 ounces (51 cards) I use 1 regular stamp and 3 additional ounce stamps, it comes out cheaper than using 3 regular stamps.

Regarding taping the top, quick fix about this is just rotate the sleeved card so it's sealed.

What I do for less expensive cards is I use a second penny sleeve so It's like a bag sealed on both ends. It takes some practice getting them to fit together but once you get it, it works well.

Tcgplayer direct does well for me plus I charge 1.49 shipping so I never lose on any order, this requires a large inventory though to capture the multiple quantity orders

As to comment about the blue outgoing box instead of the mail clerk they weigh the letter at the counter where as in the outgoing they don't weigh them unless it feels a lot heavier than they should.
