Legit video … awesome! Best review and tips for mounts. Thank you!

Alex this footage is insane! The moody grade just hits different. Especially with the smoke apocalypse! As a local Calgarian it's always fun seeing where you shoot and how awesome you make it look!

That night was crazy! Smoke really rolled in that night. Love seeing other Calgarians in the comments! 🙌🏼

Jheeze man, the footage in this video is incredible! Every single car rig looks solid to me, just shows you don't need all of the gear to get great results! The pocket 3 footage makes me question why we even need big cameras anymore 😂
@TheCarCreative4 ай бұрын
🫶🏼 Thanks bro! It was a very cool day and a sexy car. Makes it easy haha. But I agree with the osmo pocket. I’ll likely never mount a large camera again, unless I need a more compressed focal length maybe but it hits pretty hard.

Hey Alex! We are looking to shoot live music videos "carpool karaoke style" in our Kia Optima, we have a DJI Osmo Action 4 What mount do you recommend we use for a center wide angle shot? We'd be zooming in on each passenger in the front when they sing.

Nice video guys, but just wanted to add something. In my expirience cameras with IBIS are almost unusable for solid mounted car work. The problem is with it on or off....the sensor will vibrate at a high frequency. making the footage unusable. I first noticed this with my GH5, ruined one of my shoots. I imediately sold that camera and got a GH5s as the S model did NOT have IBIS. Same camera with no ibis......perfect footage in all conditions. So to sum it up I would avoid any camera with IBIS .....IF you are reigidly mounting it to vehicles. Suction cups might be okay as the rubber pad actually absorbs some of the vibration before it gets to teh sensor .... but a hard moutned camera will transfer alot of the vibrations right into the IBIS system. Anyway...my .02 cents. Love the channel. All the best!

I just found that out the hard way, The GH5S was my pick too. Though a GH4 can work too- even Top Gear and Grand Tour used GH4's for in car shots

Great video, thanks you! What do you use to capture the sound of the exhaust, what kind of mics and for "in the cabin" videos - mounts, mics etc THANKS

Is there a way to attach the movmax blade to a smart phone? For example s24ultra with the Neewer Phone cage, screwed onto the Movmax blade?
@TheCarCreative3 ай бұрын
I’m sure if you have the right mount and you can keep it attached safely it would work great!

ONE additional product you dont have to mount cameras is the 3 Footed Monster. They make 3 different sizes. I have been a pro photographer for nearly 30 years and have used them for some time and in alot of cases have worked much better than suction cups. The biggest version I have done a canon with vertical grip and 24-70 and its was great.

What do you think of the s5iix? Is it better in your opinion to the s5ii?
@TheCarCreativeАй бұрын
They are very similar cameras. If you need access to extremely high bit rate video like ProRes or Raw then go for the X. But I personally don’t use those much as they both do 6K open gate and 4K 422 10 bit color. Otherwise almost exact same.

I always use a safety chain just in case.
@TheCarCreative4 ай бұрын
Like a literal chain? That sounds risky for the car paint no? I’ve seen kits that come with ropes and hooks which would be smart.

I use aircraft wire , very thin that is coated with something that won’t scratch the paint.
