How to shoot Doubles Skeet Station 1

Excellent! As a beginner I found doubles at station 7 easy, but missed the second target in doubles of station 1. The problem was exactly as you described, I was waiting for the first target to drop just above the barrel and hitting it every time, but past the center stake. By shooting the first target more aggressively I had more time to see and follow thru on the second target of the double.

My problem was I read don't hold too high on that first shot, I was holding too low and with minimal gun movement breaking that high house too late. By raising my hold point so it is just below the target line, I could shoot it much quicker with minimal gun movement.
