Well doubling the iso in canon r6 mk2 makes it always clear and renoves most of the noise even at 25600

What about shooting video indoors like highschool basketball dark already inside so aperature wide open like f2.8 nothing more you can do except up the iso correct?
@Jaysinthecut Жыл бұрын
Can you link the rec 709 for canon in the description?
@StaffordBeats4 ай бұрын
But what if you’re shooting in a darker area? Higher iso doesn’t make THAT much of a difference in grain compared to the grain you’d get from log being underexposed, no?
@thebobbymedia3 ай бұрын
Yes exactly, in darker areas I like to expose a stope or two over exposed

Sooo for mostc users that that are using the lcd on the camera....any suggestions other than buying a separate monitor lol
@thebobbymedia7 ай бұрын
Yes, you definitely don't need an external monitor, it is just more convienent. If you are using the LCD i would recommend turning on view assist which will allow you to see the REC 709 image

would using exposure compensation when shooting log, introduce more noise? im a noob so sorry if this is a dumb question, i understand the iso should be left as native/base iso
@thebobbymedia Жыл бұрын
No thats a good quesiton! Exposure compensation is essentially just a way to set a relative exposure to what the camera thinks your exposure should be while in an auto mode. So if you set your exposure comp to +1 that woudl be 1 stop over whatever the camera thinks is proper exposure. Because the camera is not always right, I highly recommend shooting in full manual and manually setting Nd filters, aperture, Iso (set to native iso) and shutter (180 degree shutter rule). So exposure comp wouldn't necessarily add noise but it is not the most accurate way to expose. Hope that made sense
