Hello, it looks like you put you bands on pouch end with the fold facing down, I usually put them on with fold up. Any difference? Also the fold on frame as well, does that help or matter which way the fold faces? Thanks!

Hi, i no longer fold the bands on the fork tips. I did this before the new style elastic was available

'Taking a break from my usual fayre of blade-pedantry to try a spot of catty-pedantry. Perhaps you mean slim-waisted? Coincidentally I'm slim every day and wasted, upon occasion. Thank you for this helpful video on PFS.

I’ve noticed on here and on Facebook that you fold your bands over when you tie them on, is there a specific reason for this besides everything looking neater?
@deltaskelta93465 жыл бұрын
The outer width of the bands is specific,if the band are 25mm wide and a 12mm gap in between and you want a 50 mm outer width you need to fold them

is there a difference if using flat bands vs tubes shooting PFS?
@batzpfsaddict28063 жыл бұрын
Flatbands fire faster. Less drop on shots. Tubes are quieter and last longer. At competitions 99% of people shoot flatbands

Hello please did you gate hand slap with opfs and tubes ? Its better flat band for no ave hand slap ? Thank you
@batzpfsaddict28063 жыл бұрын
Hi. I find band slap happens when your pouch is too large or too thick. Your ammo is too light for the tubes you are using. Also they could be too long or the cold weather makes it happen. You can buy finger protectors similar to what tennis players wear to help.

@@batzpfsaddict2806 thank you ! I use 1636 tube 8mm steel ball and "gzk opfs se " maybe its the frame systèm the problème ? I try différent pouch and length tubes and now i ave small slap but after 20 shot its busy.. maybe pfs with protect tubes are better ? Sorry for my inglish Thank you
@batzpfsaddict28063 жыл бұрын
@@jackmesserine that set up sounds fine. Try mix it up to see if it helps. I find you get slap more often with tubes.

I see you fold the bands in two at the binding posts. Why?
@batzpfsaddict28063 жыл бұрын
It was a number of years ago so i could shoot wider bands that the size of the fork tips. I no longer tie them this way

hey man, how about the tube picklefork slingshots? I always see the tube within another tube. What's the purpose of this extra tube?
@batzpfsaddict28068 жыл бұрын
AT369 they are tube protectors, add some thicker tube over the top stops the ties cutting through the thinner tube. This means they last a lot longer
@hello321758 жыл бұрын
that's what i thought but i thought maybe they had some special purpose haha. thanks for clearing it up

I'm relatively new to shooting but making most of my own catapults Have 3 of them with narrow forks,but still get fork hits I twist the band's and bend the pouch ,but still get fork hits. But must admit it happens when I'm shooting bigger stones . I'm happier shooting gangster style. Just curious about where I'm going wrong . But also got to admit ,I'm still all over the place,with my aiming etc .with about 1 out of 30 hitting a small target from about 15 yard away Any advice,please 😱
@batzpfsaddict28066 жыл бұрын
Hi Pal, always worth trying lighter bands and smaller ammo like 9.5mm steels or 8mm ammo as stones can be difficult to shoot. If you use facebook Catapult Addicts UK is a good page with lots of advice.

What's the difference in narrow gap and little wider gap? Please share your shooting experience. 😇
@batzpfsaddict28064 жыл бұрын
The narrower the frame the higher the anchor point. However it just comes down to what you prefer to shoot.

Top class explanation 👏🏻👏🏻.....2 questions.......all things equal....is accuracy easier with a PF as compared to a standard 80--100 mm catty???? A recommendation for a starter PF??? Thank u sir🤙🏻
@batzpfsaddict28064 жыл бұрын
Hi Charles I wouldnt say they are more accurate its just personal preference. To start with I would get something solid from Hegarty Slings on facebook or Wasp Slingshots Thanks for watching
@davidboyd3746 жыл бұрын
Also why use any sort of gap. Just use I stick with a band attached to it.then aim and fire ?? 🙃🙃

Hey great vid I've just got into pfs shooting but I really do like the feel of it as it feels really natural I use the point method however after 6-8 meters my Accuracy really suffers. Do you aim when shooting pfs as you are very accurate.
@batzpfsaddict28068 жыл бұрын
Hi pal, yes i aim using the outer fork tip, so i hold mine in the right hand, so use the right hand fork tip as a reference. Sometimes the edge of the band works best to use aswell
