Tried to use code for $15 off didn’t work.
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
@DillardDweller I just tested it, the code can only be applied to the $47 price, not the monthly plan. Use code KZbin (all caps). Send me an email if it still doesn't work but it should. :) freedominabudget@gmail.com

This was so helpful. So glad I know about the quarter & no bags. I would have had no idea. I am pinching pennies right now. I will be going to Aldi to shop.

I shopped at Aldi pretty much weekly when we lived in Germany and the quality and prices were AMAZING!! We now live in California and don’t have one (though we do have a Trader Joe’s and I’m there all the time). We are moving to Kansas soon (haha we are military thus all the moving) and I’m excited to see there’s an Aldi in town!! I haven’t been to an American Aldi since before being in Germany so I’m interested to compare selection and quality. Might even do a KZbin video about it! Thanks for the tips.

We have an ALDI right by us and we were in it for the first time over the weekend since they opened which had been a few years. It was fun to look around and we had no idea how things worked. Thanks for this video! We will be going back!!

I have 4 different Aldi that I can go to, you are so right about the produce selection. One store has great produce, and there is another that is not worth getting much of anything. The frozen section is better at some stores as well. They have the best prices on frozen fruit for smoothies or homemade sorbet! It's so much cheaper than Walmart, I save at least $400 a month since I switched and can get twice as much food for half the price.

I haven’t been to Aldi in a long time. I went a few times and didn’t care for the taste of their canned tomatoes. Maybe I need to give it another chance. 🤔
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I would definitely give them another chance. I personally love their fire roasted canned tomatoes but maybe try some different items. :)

I love Aldi! It is so easy to shop also because you don't get variety so it makes shopping so much faster. Also, very simple lay out and I make my list according to the layout. I get most of my produce from there, the only thing is besides bananas and avocados, you can't really buy a single of anything. My boujee husband now eats Aldi cookies and other snacks.

Kelley, the carts are better at Aldi's too. They don't have workers putting 19 of them together, like they do at Wal-Mart... that chaining of them together destroys the wheels when you are trying to turn the whole group to the left ot the right. The wheels get killed on the front and back carts.
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
Yes soooooo true!! I've never had an issue with an Aldi cart!!

Great video! I think Aldi is great for produce. Trader Joe's prices are pretty comparable (once you adjust for difference in package sizes) in a lot of pantry and dairy items. I prefer Trader Joe's pantry/dairy staples because they have a cleaner ingredient list with less added sugar, salt, other preservatives, etc.

I go to aldi ever week for veggies. There is a difference in the taste from the name brand item. Example the aldi cheese is a cheaper taste item and you can definitely tell the difference between cheez it and aldi brand ( cheez its are better in my house). Like you say try it and if you don’t like just don’t buy it again. I ask my family if they like a new item and sometimes they like a aldi brand (cheese popcorn or the Mac and cheese are favorites of my kids.

I love it! Everyone has different preferences. If you like it better than there you go, if not, thats okay too!

The quality is so much better than it was 20 years ago and includes some name brands. There are even gluten-free items (for my son) and Keto-friendly items (for my husband and me).

This is so funny because most stores in Germany, where I live, are exactly like that (Aldi is German). It's so weird for me that there are stores with free carts and free bags!😅 Or even people who pack your groceries 😱 People are so used to this type of shopping, lately there were carts with no coins because of Covid and people still brought them neatly back 🤣
@freedominabudget4 жыл бұрын
That's so funny!! They started having the quarters in the cart for you because of covid and I've only seen ONE person not bring it back all summer. So glad that most people still bring them back!

Love Aldi. 15min drive to spend $100 a week to feed 3; get 4 to 5 times more than what I would spending $100 at Lowe’s Foods that’s 5 minutes down the street. Shop smart.💡

I've found a HUGE improvement in their meat in the last 2-3 years. Do you not like their fresh meat or the frozen meat?
