I work for this company so my "pro tip" is go to a Marshalls first. We're owned by the same company so we sell a lot of the same merchandise. But Marshalls is actually cheaper than TJMAX and Homegoods! That's why TJMAX doesn't take Marshalls and vice versa returns,different prices and Barcode!

Hello hello! I work at tj maxx as a merchandise coordinator. Let me give you some inside tips! Normally we get a truck 5 days a week. Holidays we get them Monday through Sunday. Truck is broken down and merchandise is on the floor from 9am-2pm (normally) After holidays our items are marked down @ 7am. Usually ranging from 30%-50% off. Our markdowns (red tag) run in cycles and are done (normally) from 7am to 3 pm so that's when there is great markdowns to chose from. Best time to shop is early in the morning or before closing (but please be mindful to bring up your cart 15 minutes prior to closing, its common courtesy) In spring we have something called a white sale so a lot of home merchandise comes in! Also go TJ mAXX hopping! EVERY store is different! We are also sisters with Homegoods, Marshalls, and Sierra Trading Post so check those stores out as well AND you can shop online! And last but not least if you shop with us a lot try for our credit card! every 200 spent you get a 10 rewards certificate and if you spend 400 you get a 20 dollar one! Happy Shopping!

I worked at a much smaller TJ for over a year, and the best day to come in is on shipment days! You can always ask associates, and that's when we would get everything off the bat! Especially since we didn't always get duplicates. :)
