Oh dear, I can relate to that. I’m terrible, buying all the time. I recently finished work as my husband is older and wanted me to join him in retirement. That’s all very well but I’m now obsessed with clothes and keep buying things I really don’t need. Most of the items are for a fantasy life, I just don’t have. I need to follow your lead😮😢

It’s such a high when you buy something new though isn’t it?! I also love it, I’m just trying to be more mindful I suppose 💕

The best way to save money on clothes and accessories is to avoid trends and try not to watch too many fashion videos. That doesn’t necessarily mean adhering to classic items but trying to look at more individual, independent brands and for those of us on a really tight budget, a good rummage around in charity shops. Basic items like t-shirts, blazers and jeans for example are the best investment pieces to have in your wardrobe.

I have all the quality basics as that’s how I like to dress, yet I still have this need to buy something whenever I go out shopping, get it home and realise I don’t need or want it, then I have t return it. Then the cycle starts again. I think a lot of women do it. Men don’t seem to bothered like us ladies. Is it a genetic make up thing🙁

@@user-xl3wp5bl2u Many years ago, I lived and worked in London and the temptation of purchasing new items was a constant magnate and if you are a lover of fashion, being surrounded by shops can be very seductive. I bought so many items which gave me instant pleasure but that were never long-lasting.Times have changed greatly for me since those days and I think it’s a case of us giving ourselves a hard talking to and asking questions such as” Do I really need that item?” “ Is it similar to something I already have?” “ Is it worth the price they’re asking?” “Will it only make me happy for today?” “ Can I match it with other items I already have in my wardrobe?” Sadly, we live in a consumer society where we are constantly bombarded with adverts, influencers and the ever increasing popularity of online shopping. We just have to limit ourselves to what we know is an ongoing campaign to make us spend money. We all have times when we feel depressed or insecure about our hair, make up, fashion style etc but we have to ask ourselves if being a confident, happy person is more important than keeping up with the trends or worrying when we receive our bank balance! We can still look and feel great as long as we give off an aura of positivity and self-assurance.💖
