Been mulling over how I was gonna get The Van on the Dodge Ram frame. Gonna use your video as a reference, lol. The tough part for me is where the swoopy bit that raises up for the bed; the floor of The Van is flat. Either I'm going to have to cut out the swoopy bit and have a super raked frame (or put leveling kit on the front), or cut and raise the floor in the back half of The Van. Not sure how we're gonna grease that pig yet, but I'll figure it out. In either case, thanks for the video! Glad to see Desperado back on the menu and moving full steam ahead!

Ooohh yeah that’s the issue I ran into, but without the frame. The van was really high in the back after I put the diff in. I like the idea of a levelling kit in front, jacked up vans look nuts! Man I couldn’t wait to get back at Desperado, the only thing holding me back was a good frame and I finally got one 😁

I did a 99 4wd to awd ext cab turbo build in my driveway. I really want to go regular cab so bad but not having a covered shop is limiting factor. Thx for showing how to do the frame though. Its not nearly as bad as it seems.

If you think you need to,you could put a 1x6 strap on top and bottom of frame over the weld.

It's been proven over an over that a square cut is equally as strong as a diagonal cut. You're confusing it with a joint of wood where it's joined with glue where as steel is fuzed with a weld.

I got my knuckle while cutting the bump stops off that s10, didnt notice until i seen the puddle of blood (great band name btw) on my leg 🤣 then i almost cut my finger tip completely off like a week later

Steps cuts and 45 degree cuts are not necessary. A simple vertical cut and proper weld is sufficient.
