You need a capture card for streaming using your console to obs. I recommend not cheaping out on it either. I recommend Elgato hd60x

Find in your software anything that say Browser source and then follow the steps I show

bro I have been trying to figure this out for over an hour and I had no luck. I was cursing at my computer and had installed 3 different add ons to obs. suddenly this genius stud of a fella just appeared in my google search and proceeded to explain it in less than 3 minutes flat. ion understand how yall are in the comments saying this helps when it dont, people have to get a capture card to be able to stream while usiong their xbox from obs so obviousaly you need a controller for your xbox, now as soon as u disconnect the wire from ur controller the thing says disconnected

You have to change the option on the USB driver. You should be able to change it between things like "Charging Only", "Media", etc

@butterbeangaming7362 just right go to settings when its plugged into your comp, and look at connected devices and then USB, then it *should* have options in there to go from charging only to whatever else. Or right click on the popup when you plug it in and click driver settings or properties, it should be somewhere in all that
