This really, really works. I bought 3.5 acres with my house 2 years ago. Place has amazing bedding all around it. I give the herd quality food to go along with the browse in their bedding. I have been fortunate enough to have opportunities, and have made it count with harvests of the 2 biggest, and oldest bucks in the neighborhood both of those seasons with my bow. Have learned so much watching your videos, and btw I absolutely love HUNTWISE!

I can’t wait until Saturday morning to express this- John Komp at Northwoods Whitetail inc. has GORGEOUS seeds. I ordered two blends (HD Screen and brassica) and three days later I’m holding immaculate, dust free, husk free, perfectly packaged, bright, beautiful SEEDS. He’s a total professional to deal with as well. Even called me back personally when I had questions! He has earned his excellent reputation. 👍

Just got my copy of Food Plot Success by Design, AND ordered my seed from John Komp. LETS GO!!! Edit; also the book was at my doorstep less than 48 hrs later. Did you drop it off on the way home from work? It’s for my dad, he lives a lot closer. (35 minutes east!) could have saved on gas.

Other than kicking a bear, it sounds like a blast....of course being a goof here. Seriously, thanks for taking time to do this. It is always good to help our youth become masters of the outdoors vs. it being a strange environment. Whether they take up hunting long term or not, these are valuable lessons. Peace :)

This applies to most of us I think. Most don't have huge tracts of big woods. It's amazing the small areas that mature bucks will hold in when left alone with some nearby food.

I'm new to food plots but I put in a small one this year roughly 100ftx 40ft. Mostly winter and spring wheat and clover on the ends and some mixed blends of seed. I'll see how it goes and hopefully get it dialed in in the next couple years. Also I'll be putting out a feeder soon with corn in it about 20 ft in the air by cables so bear cant get at it.

Hi Dylan...so many variables! Depends on your ph, soil conditions, size of plot, neighboring food sources, planting resources of time, money and equipment. Check out my more recent video of what to plant 😊 I hope it helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJyXpqF_mLGbh5o

April 26th around 830AM I was turkey hunting & I saw a buck that likes to bed on my property swimming roughly 1500' across the lake to get back to his bed. I figure there must be something good to eat on the north side of the lake. Funny thing is the area where he likes to bed (which I found shed hunting & scouting the property) is maybe 50 yards from where the neighbor has a stand (and food plots) on his side of the fence, and would be hard for me to get to without spooking every deer in the area.

Jeff I noticed you are starting to use some ladder stands! I like the lock ons because low profile but this year watching a few clear cuts woukd be nice to have a shooting rail thoughts?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97512 жыл бұрын
Hi Drew! I use them when they are the only fit for the tree for the most part. Leaders, huge diameter and then a few very thick, conifer setups. I think rails are nice for gun hunting! I don't personally use them because I shoot off a knee if a far shot snd I bowhunt all of my stand setups too so the rail can get in the way. Love my rails on my blinds and tower stands tho!

Actually yes, you really should...I do about 80% of the time...often 2 or 3 of them in multiple states and even on public land. That's what I teach my clients to do. Very easy to do...if you follow the tips in this video and on this channel. Most folks never get to experience that fact, and you've come to right spot to learn. I average about 6 sits per target buck.
