This tutorial is by far the most superior that I have found. Mavis Everett has got it all together - the use of voice-over, how to break it down for the true-noob, and her list of songs by BPM is genius.
@larsbaer35083 жыл бұрын
Disagree ... For True noobs you Need songs that are easy to count... Especially at the beginning of Her list , the beat starts late, Drops out often, and has very complex rythm, so hard to find the beat for beginners, and hard to keep... There are much better slow songs for True noobs... But i like to See her Dance ...
@NOT_NativeEN_Speaker2 жыл бұрын
@@larsbaer3508 Just skip first 4 or 5 and u will be OK. In my case (pure noob :) that 6th "SBTRKT - Wildfire" worked seamlessly for me (I was simply playing 1by1, until good beat happened right at the beginning of the song :)

After watching I don't know how many tutorials, I find yours to be outstanding both in the style of instruction and in the way it is put together. In particular, I find the approach of a voice over instead of trying to talk your way through the steps very effective. More so to me than any other tutorial I have watched. Today was day 1 and thanks to your efforts, I'm thinking 55 isn't to late to start learning. The other thing that occurred to me is that I don't know anything about creating/editing videos but I do know something of recognizing innate talent, which you have harnessed. If I were recruiting, this video (and part 2) would sell me on your ability to create an attainable finished tutorial that crosses generational barriers. Very well done indeed.

I like that you've included sign language instead of relying on closed captions. And, I like that you've pinpointed the main issue in shuffling--it's not that the moves are difficult to do, the hard part is *getting up to speed*. Most popular, catchy, and hype music are above 90 BPM, so people just want to skip to that speed and end up failing. 😂 I hope to use your tutorial and playlist to gradually improve my shuffling, I tried dancing to A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario and I failed miserably. 😣

If you enjoy one certain song, but it is still at the smaller beats you can increase it's speed, so you listen to the same song but level up the speed. Win-win. My favourite song for now is Disclosure - You & Me feat. Eliza Doolittle (Flume Remix). That's my second day training and things are going quite well.
