😃" CONGRATULATIONS!.... I feel that You did a wonderful job doing first-time straightening. Which put me to shame. Why? I set off the smoke alarm trying on my own hair. Talk about ' Fail ' ! Regardless, You're very fortunate to have beautiful thick hair. Which often limits movement compared to thinner or finer textured hair. Yet, it's such a blessing. Why? Advanced aging, heredity, and various health factors generally decrease and thin most people's hair. Therefore, ' enjoy It while It lasts ' . Meanwhile, a great personal advantage is your mother's knowledge and skill for professional hairstyling. As we saw in the video, She's a great and convenient resource to acquire more skills with present and future results. So, keep accepting her great help and professional advice.... 😆" Better that than setting off Smoke Alarms! "

Your hair is lovely. Just remember to use the biosilk for blow drying. It helps to block your hair from heat damage and if you want added shine use a glossifier after you silk press. Keeps you from weighing down your hair so it's soft and flows.

Hey @lady M I want to silk press my hair i have never done it before. So just go make sure i am understanding you properly, would use the biosilk in replacement of a normal heat protectant ? Xx

Your mom did a great job on your trim. You may want to try a clarifying shampoo next time. It helps to remove excess build up that likes to hang on to our hair even after we shampoo which will weigh down hair. Paul Mitchell has a good hair clarifying shampoo. You should not use it for every shampoo maybe 1x a month if you wash weekly. You did a great job for this being your first time!

@Peanut Butter I don’t even know....but maybe try using chi silk infusion and wrapping your hair every night. Also try avoiding extra steamy showers...when you shower wrap your hair and use a shower cap so the steam won’t get to your hair. That’s all I have but that’s basic advice😭

This video couldn’t come at a better time. I’m taking my weave out tomorrow and was thinking of straightening out my natural hair as it is at a nice length and would look lovely and healthy just like yours, however I was unsure about what products to use or how I would go about doing it, I don’t have any tine to go hair dressers so I really appreciate this very informative video, and well done for your first time straightening your hair out, it looks great!! Wish me luck for tomorrow!!
