Really and important breakthrough, the moment we realize that the vocal chords just buzz (more or less connectedly), the resonators shape the sound. I’m really liking your more intellectual approach to this. Hope you keep going.

I’m making a separate video for those. Those two have to actively open as we ascend.

really really helpful! Thanks a lot! :-) A little question: when do you "change" when ascending? on which pitch the changes from feeling "ah" to "uh" and upper "ooa" should happen... for females and males... in the transition areas?

Just a suggestion, as most of use headphones for your videos, please keep the volume of the demonstration as uniform or same as speech. The sudden surge of volume during demonstration is too much for the ear. This volume is damaging before we learn all these voice singing. Your demonstration has beautiful quality tone just the unbalanced volume compared to speech. Thanks

Oh, thank you for the answer, I finished the first book yesterday (looks like I need the second one, I need to know more about "effects" and application of all this). I did not understand about passive migration from the book, and your video helped me a lot, cause I've finaly got it. The ah shape doesn't not change! But the vowel itself changes. This is a paradox! The same progression Ken Tamplin tells about (loft and hook). I still can't make it work, but I finally understand the direction. And I'd like to thank you more, I watched your video about breath support turning on after the lower part of ribs expands with the inhale. It was it! Everybody talks about belly, but it is not about the belly! My best wishes for you and your channel!

Tyler, again, i wake up with this perfectly set mix voice coordination and can do all sorts of pitch glides and inflections like you did on the aa vowel. But if i do them after 3-4 hours of waking up I can't! I tried doin the puffy cheek to relax my throat but when i inflect up in pitch there's like this point almost like a "break" from where a i feel a shrill buzz in my tone

Vowels passively closing as you go higher is a sign you’re mixing rather than pulling chest. It blew my mind when I realised that. In order to keep the vowel the same, you have to pull chest. Also crazy. It’s Ironic, considering the credence a lot of sls teachers give to keeping the vowel sounds consistent as you ascend on a “muh” exercise for example. Mixing literally makes the vowels change. Haha.
