Need to sing low? Pro-Tip: Wait until you're sick, or perhaps you had a few shots the night before and before you speak go directly to the mic, and you'll have a much lower range for the first hour of recording!!

My high school choir class was first period (7:30am) and I ended up a bass 2 bc I had a solid half octave below my normal range that early in the morning. Then we’d get to night dress rehearsals and I’d panic trying to get those notes back for the concerts

Nah I’m pretty sure the low notes are enhanced, no discredit to him he’s fkn amazing but if I had to guess it takes an early morning or beer for him to sing lower than like an F#-E Also to that other guy a 3 octave range is pretty damn big lol

Whenever I see you sing those low notes, you always inspire me to try and expand my own vocal range, currently at 3 octaves, but I want to be able to comfortable sing below an E2, or above a C5.
@luizsoares4847
@luizsoares4847 2 жыл бұрын
Below an E2 confortably is kinda dificult. You can use techniques like chest fry and subharmonics, beeing chest fry more close to the sound of chest voice but it is very hard to master. Paul David Kennamer is probably the best at using it. Wish you luck.
@yeetgamingxt5449

Or you use editing like him. Notes this low are almost impossible. You would need to have some really strange vocal chords to sing this low and get such clean notes. There are people who can go so low but there's very few of them.
@terrafinosix6130
@terrafinosix6130 Жыл бұрын
This song really isn't all that low. Listen to madmen like Geoff Castellucci if you want to hear some true bass. Also I'm pretty sure these low notes are edited. He's got really good tone, and is great at singing, but he isn't really a bass I would say. Again, no hate, he's definitely a better singer than me, just not a lower bass.

@@gianna526 Watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5_IeYmZjZKGf68 - especially at 34:30 where he himself mimics a "deep voice" and literally says "I need to sound epic. I am kind of a lyric tenor so this is gonna be weird" This is more or less his "natural" deep voice, not the fake bass he uses in all of his shorts. Just to be 100% clear here: I do respect Peter and all he is doing but I just don't like the mis-representation of "looped songs" he does lately where it clearly looks like he is doing it live but it clearly isn't. This is just my opinion and I just want to bring some "hyper believers" a little bit down to the ground that yes, he is good but he is not god-like and has a vocal range of 8 octaves.
@billparrish4385
@billparrish4385 2 жыл бұрын
@@KevinPfeifer No 'hyper believer' here, but your citation there of his interview with Elizabeth doesn't say anything about 'fake bass', audio tools, or anything hinting at 'god-like'. Professional singers do have certain vocal techniques in their toolkit they use to go outside their 'comfort zone' that he was talking about in that interview, which are in no way fake. It just means that they can't produce those tones all the time, easily, reliably on cue, or in a more natural register. For example, to increase bass range, there's growling, vocal fry, and subharmonics (techniques involving the 'false' vocal chords above the vocal folds), in addition to natural chest voice. Peter himself said (I believe in these very comments) that such things work best early in the morning, or when not feeling well. All these legitimate vocal techniques are not 'fake bass' or audio/editing/electronic tricks, they're legitimate sounds coming out of the larynx, without electronic assistance, and even a natural tenor can use them to produce quite striking bass tones, as he does in this performance. No studio mixing tricks needed.

Hello, as always, another great singing video! I was wondering if you could remake the green day boulevard of broken dreams video, but with addition of the piano video like this one? Cause I'm not an expert at music and can't read music notation, and I also can't separate the voices if it's mixed together... so I need the piano video so that I can try separate it using my instrument, Cause I really want to try sing the green day one correctly, Thank you!
