OMG! The Ghost Vibrato @ 10:53 just *unlocked* my vibrato! Literally. I've always been able to "carry a tune", quite well, in fact (definitely better than the average karaoke crowd - haha). But this is the first time in my life I feel I've truly accomplished something in my singing voice. It's an epiphany that has opened my voice for greater things. I know I have much, *much* more learning and practicing before I can control it well, and I know it sounds ridiculous, but already I'm thrilled at what I've done in just the past few minutes of watching your video. I've tried it on a couple of my favorite songs. I feel so overwhelmed and liberated, and now tears have filled my eyes. Sincerely... Thank you!

I think the part that people always miss is that you have to train your vocal chords over time to do vibrato. I used to get so frustrated with these KZbin videos because I would do all of the exercises and still couldn’t find vibrato and I mean none!!! But I never lost hope, I kept trying and I’ll never forget the first time a tiny bit of vibrato crept into my voice! I literally jumped for joy, it was only on my lower notes to begin with and over time it’s gradually spreading across my range. I’m still not where I want to be but having seen the progress I’ve made I now know it’s possible and will keep doing the exercises. Don’t give up people! Videos like this are fantastic, in fact this is one of the best ones I’ve seen. Keep practising.

This is literally the first video that enabled me to do it. Seriously, thank you! I still have to perfect it, but this is going to change my singing big time. Big thumbs up !! :)

I spent months doing vocal exercises for developing vibrato, but nothing seemed to work for me no matter how much I practiced. I watched countless KZbin videos on how to develop vibrato and tried the advice given by them to no avail. However, I went for a run today (3 miles) for the first time in a few months and was out of breath when I was finished. It turns out that all the heavy breathing (I have exercise induced asthma) from running was exactly the warm up I needed to sing with vibrato. I got in my car after the run and did a vocal exercise I’d been trying for vibrato and all of a sudden I could easily sing with vibrato seemingly out of nowhere. It took me by surprise and I couldn’t believe I could finally do it. I was so excited. Singing with vibrato felt so natural and easy and I’m still in shock that all I needed to do was run to get my lungs warmed up. I couldn’t get a single note with vibrato yesterday, but I’m easily singing Bohemian Rhapsody with vibrato today. If anyone else just can’t seem to sing with vibrato no matter what they attempt, try running a few miles or however long you can until you’ve been breathing heavily for a while, drink some warm water, and then try singing with vibrato.

I was watching this a year back and wanting to learn Vibrato, I actually liked the ghost one. I did the body shaking while pushing my hands against my chest. After that I would always try to mimic the vibration without the help of my hands. A year later I realized I can sing with vibrato. It just came and I realized it after sometime. It began with the higher notes, later I was able to introduce it to my lower notes as well. Thank you Ramsey. Vibrato has changed the way I sing to a different level.

How to control your “vocal tremor” - brilliant, lovin’ this so far…”fantastic” bro, you’re a genius however (or whatever) you did/said made sense to my brain (one way or another) and now I have vibrato - how the🗣〰️😳👍

Dude, you are so positive and so clear at explaining this what was otherwise a “super human power” that I kinda chalked up to, some people just can and others can’t :/

I kid you not, I cannot sing good at all, I sing in flats and I don’t have a high range. And this worked. 100/10 for this guy

Cool, this is a well understood technique in what I hear with the best singers of doo wop et al but I wanted to find something to teach my grandchildren and this is perfect thanks (if they will watch it) Thanks

Thanks!! I have done vibrato a lot but I can’t do it on command. My singing teacher said that it’ll come with maturity, but I want to see if I can control it better. I want to impress my teachers with it. I’ll try this!

Hee-hee-hee-hee-hee got me a bit of vibrato! Eight years of singing in choir and could never get any vibrato, wondering if it was from trying to hold the pitch exactly

Hey Edith, you get used to it the more you do it. When I was first doing this stuff, I would drive with the windows down practicing these exercises. Everyone thought I was crazy!

Now I can sing the word, “Memes”, and not annoy anybody. The funny thing is I didn’t even watch the video. I just read the description and that was enough to get me go from the diaphragm vibrato to the vocal cords.

You're amazing. Much better than other teachers with more views than you, but you deserve them more...hope youtube bumps you up!
My vibrato works on some notes (the higher ones, in falsetto) but the notes I sing with my chest voice are not flexible at all... What am I doing wrong?
@ramseyvoicestudio5 жыл бұрын
Hey Cookies, my guess is that you need to lighten up on the chest voice notes to get your vibrato. Check out this article: ramseyvoice.com/how-to-sing-vibrato/ In the article, I talk about how vibrato comes from vocal balance. If the vibrato's working in your head voice, you probably need a bit more head in your chest voice.

This happened to me once in elementary school. I wasn't in Choral Club (choir) in elementary school, and we had to sing for the school, I forget the occasion, but it seemed like it was after the 1st anniversary of 9/11; I was in second grade. I believe we were singing "Proud to be an American" I remember there was this part in the song where I sang loud and sustained, and my jaw naturally shook and produced that vibrato sound. It was weird because I could not replicate that feeling today.
