Thanks for making this so quick and easy. I'm brand new to crocheting and my beginners book didn't really explain what an increase was so this video was really helpful!

Instruction for this was very easy to follow. At what point do you increase? Anywhere, at start? Does it matter where the increase is done? Or am I making it complicated?
@HeatherArmour9 ай бұрын
Very well explained and so very easy to follow. Thank you.

WHAT. IT WAS THAT EASY THE ENTIRE TIME-- Could you tell me what does it mean to single crochet in next 2 stitches? ;'(
@Westriesthingz4 жыл бұрын
Single crochet once into the next stich, and one more time into the stich after!
@johnwebber119920 күн бұрын
@@Westriesthingzoh, you don't increase into same stitch?

Does this mean when it says 3inc, I actually do 4sc in the same stitch? So 1sc + the 3inc? (Hope This made sense)

I've been practicing the increase stitch, both single and double. Stitches look great BUT i keep getting a circle. I'm not sure how to line up to make the turnovers match. Any advice? Thanks! love your videos.

i think your web page is broken. it wont go to the learning page of stitch inc.

The pattern says, "Rnd 3: [sc, inc] 5 times (15sc)." I am so confused! What does 5 times mean? :(
@DemonicPretty5 жыл бұрын
The "5 times" just means to repeat the Rnd 3 which is "sc,Inc" so just do that 5 times. 😃

Not me learning that a mistake I routinely make is actually a stich!😅😅😅 What is the decrease usually used for?
@CrochetGuru11 ай бұрын
I hope this helps!! Shaping: Decreases are essential for shaping crochet items like hats, gloves, amigurumi (crochet stuffed toys), and garments. By strategically placing decreases, you can create curves, angles, and contours. Size adjustment: If a piece is getting too wide or you want to taper it, you can use decreases to gradually reduce its size. Pattern design: Some stitch patterns require increases and decreases to create specific textures or visual effects. Finishing edges: Decreases can be used to create smoother or more finished edges, especially in pieces that require a gradual ending, like the tip of a crocheted triangle shawl.
