I've been a jeweller most of my working life and in my opinion , nothing beats workshop experience and I still love learning from other craftsmen. One learns something all the time. Thank you sharing your knowledge gained through experience.

I tried something similar in a glass dish the other day . It didn't go well, in fact it went all over the floor. I should have seen that coming. Cast iron skillet make total sense. I don't yet have a hot enough flame, but I have my eye on them, I'm just not ready. Thanks for the video. Really cool to see how a pro goes about these techniques.

I've always loved turquoise (it's my birthstone, maybe that's why). SO SO happy I have found your company and your videos. I would love someday to own a true vintage piece, but for now I'm happy acquiring small pieces that are REAL. I love that these stones are believed to have healing properties, and I also love that there's a history tied to them. I want pieces that are signed by the artist, and as I said, someday, a piece that was originally made by a NA for a NA. In the cases of older pieces like that, do you ever learn WHO originally owned it? I'll be a frequent visitor to your site and follower of your videos, and hopefully a customer as well.

#JohnHartman Nice technique sir. Sir can it be done on 9.25 starling silver with solitaire AD stones or any other imitation ring? Or this flame process will ruin the total ring if it's not pure silver?

Thank you so much! This is exciting! Would you say it’s impossible to get the heat needed for this by using a hand held Butane torch? I dont have the other type...yet. Thanks!
