Wish I cpuld one of those boards. Im from the philippines and boards like is too expensive here. most board I come across is always DIY woody skimboard hard to come across skimboards like exile skimboards. Wish I could really afford one. Watching skimboarders like Austin Keen and their board make me feel amazed and so jealous of their boards.

EXILE gives Keen [et al.] such a great platform - to skim & demonstrate excellence! Seeing the shop (based in San CIemente since at least 2001) I can remember riding the ORIGINAL boards, which were called "CHIASKIM" noting the founding partnership between Arron Peluso & Andy Chiavetta. Quick question on board choice: what's the dewd crewz like for tech stuff? I can 3shuv and big spin on my current ms hybrid but im thinking of getting a DC. Will the Dude cruise's tail shape make doing these tricks different? Thanks for all these great tip videos!

you can still do shuvits on a Dude Cruise, at the cost of some maneuverability.

This was super helpful dude, i've been using a 35" wooden skim board hybrid shape, I haven't been able to do much but get across the sand or over the first small wave.. but this really helped me see I need a larger, thicker board. is it more recommended to not have just a straight wooden one?

BrokenHarp wooden straight ones are flattland boards i guess, i personally have a DB skimboard wich is also a flattland board and this means that the board is mainly for gliding on thin water and going over ramps that you can build and put down in the sand. I now want to go to the waves so im looking for this kinda boards aswell atm.

Thank you Austin Keen, I'm 63, 6'1", a lil fat, and bot a what looks like from your video, a child sized skim board. Is this a handicap? I've tried your dryland moves but the bchslope wasn't steep enuff, should I spend $20 on tracpads for it or just buy a bigger skimboard, already has tracpads, and comes up to my chest like yours did, sounds like more than a $100 at least.

A child sized skim board is definitely a handicap. I’m 5’7”, 165 pounds and I ride a large board.

You should check optimal skimboards. That’s where I got my fibreglass board in aus. Just look them up on Instagram. I sent them a DM and they hooked me up with one :)

Limit-Less perhaps the medium I’m sure you’re still young and you will grow the medium will suit you best but if you are new to skimming buy a cheaper board since exiles are very expensive

czOfficial to keep balance, center your gravity to the center of the board. To keep speed, do a one step and push your momentum forward. You also want to bend your knees
