How to skip Venus Fly Trap dormancy? "Reset"

You need to devide the plant (rhizomes division) take some old rhizomes and plant it. The mother plant will (theoretically) induced reset or can skip dormancy we are already practicing it but I don't claim that it is the best for the plant. It is still better if we let them go dormant like in the wild. It's just I'm here in tropical environment and i need to try alternative way to propagate and keep them alive.

Na receive ko po yung B-52 niyo ngayon. Sa totoo lang eto po yung pinakakinatatakutan ko na part sa pag-aalaga ng VFT since hindi naman po kasi nagwwinter dito sa Pilipinas at walang space sa ref. Ano po experience niyo po sa method na to? Kasi po pagkalaam ko pwede niyo raw po iskip yung dormancy, pero ang mangyayari is mas bibilis po yung lifespan niya. Hindi po kaya pwede nalang sanayin yung VFT ng walang dormancy as long as consistent po yung temperature at sunlight na ibinibigay? Either way excited na po ako and sana lumaki po yung first VFT ko

Sabi ng post sa forum Dormancy is a lot like hibernation in animals. They need to rest and store their energy for the growing season. If they didn't go dormant, they would be extinct. You can skip it if you are okay with your Venus flytrap dying within 2-3 years.

@@MigetxSheyyy sa experience ko po mas healthy sila kung laging na ppropagate at na mamaintain (alisan ng mga old rhizome na maaring pag simulan ng rot) pero hindi naman ako against sa dormancy pero dito sa Philippines wala naman tayong winter, ang pinaka pwede natin gawin lagay sa fridge, pero parang hindi practikal at may chance pa na matuluyan kung makalimutan mo or mag brownout ng matagal. nag dodormant naman sila kusa during that time make sure lang na pest free sila at naibibigay ang basic needs like watering and having enough sunlight.

pagka napapansin nyo po na mas maraming black traps sa old traps, or before po yun mangyari or pag sobrang dami na ng traps.

mas maraming old traps sa new growth at usually mabagal growth nya than normal
