I'm a solo owner operator I tried the team thing n I couldn't do it. I woke up one time when I was driving team with a friend n he was almost completely asleep driving!! I stepped out of the sleeper n grabbed the wheel n woke him up, OMG I get anxiety with someone else driving my rig, it's a big deal your life is in their hands. I respect all y'all that do, especially y'all that train.

You go girl for owning your own truck! I understand anxiety about someone else driving your rig... heck we dont own our truck but I dont like ppl in it at all lol. I cant imagine coming outta the bunk to a sleeping team mate! I think its different when you are husband and wife team... more care, respect, and trust. When driving in bad weather I get so worried about losing the set with him sleeping in the back... when you know they probably wouldn't make it and wouldn't know it was coming... scary stuff. Makes you take less chances and pray alot!

@@SimpleLivin luckily i was only a passenger. i took the ferry from Lerwick to Aberdeen then had a 10 hour drive from Aberdeen to come home. The rolling wasn't noticable, what was noticable was the noise of the engines, each about the size of a big rig alone! - the ship had 4 of them! then along with that the rumbling from the propellers. Only fell asleep because i was tired as hell! I'd hate to be aboard the ship in a storm though

I don't know how you sleep when the truck stops. I always wake up anytime my environment changes. I think we usually adapt to what is constant, ie: steady movement and when that stops our brain has to readjust. Perhaps a survival thing I think. Good to know if something came into the cave way back when I think.
