@Capitaine Curls...How in the hell do the two of you even fit together? You said you were 6'0 feet tall. How tall is your wife/girlfriend? I am 5'4-5'5 tall, and even for just myself, I would find sleeping in a Yaris claustrophobic. Actually, I did find this video inspiring; I have a Mazda CX-5 CUV and wouldn't mind giving this a whirl myself.

Holy shit, I have a Yaris. Thank you so much. I'm only 5'3 so this will work for me. Update: I already had two small boxes inside of my car. I did not want to add two large bins. There's already too much s*** in my car. I already have a big suitcase, and two small boxes that I usually put in the trunk. So I put those at the bottom. I used the heads of the chairs to try to create a bridge of sorts to level out the sleeping space. I already had a body pillow because I was sleeping in my back seat anyway. I laid that over the boxes and my suitcase to create a cushion. All I need to do is go to Walmart to get more cushions on blankets.

Devil's Advocake they won’t let you sleep in a storage unit....
@dragames6 жыл бұрын
dude, nobody said that. In fact, did you even watch the video? It'd be using the yaris to sleep in. You're allowed to sleep in a storage unit's parking lot IF you're in your car and not in the storage unit itself. You are allowed to turn the storage unit into an office if it has wifi or you hotspot it off your phone's net. I used to actually live out of my ford taurus, I didn't have a storage unit, but at the time I didn't own as much as I did now and only needed to use the internet once a month to upload stuff I was getting paid for, which I could borrow a library computer to do. Now that I have more stuff, things I'm not comfortable with just getting rid of, I'd need to put it somewhere. However, right now I'm just having a hard time dealing with house bills and/or roommates so living out of my car again sounds like a good idea.

financially I guess you'd say I'm doing worse since I'm paying for a lot of other people's mistakes. which kind of makes it my mistake. Like paying $500 for a bedroom that I can't even use half the space as it's filled iwth other people's stuff and the mooch who just bummed here is trying to take more of my space. But, as delayed as it was, I prioritized finishing school over trying to figure out a new living situation which I kind of regret. PRobably would have been better just to do my class stuff in my car and just toss everything that isn't my computer or instruments.

Been there done that. Car or van dwelling isn't the amazing life they make it seem. Everything literally takes 5x longer to do. Finding a shower. Washing clothes. Parking private. Cooking etc..

Not to mention having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night when it is cold or raining outside. I would only do this in an extreme emergency situation.

Awesome! And I bet you can easily put portable toilet, shower, and stove in the plastic bins?
