I think another great way to practice this is to go on a slip'n'slide in the summer and have fun! you wont catch yourself with the cleats you got nothin but a shirt and swim shorts on and if there is a inflatable wall at the end you can try the popup slide there, but other than that a slip and slide is one of the great ways of head first sliding.
