This video covers how to slide into a bag. Towards the end of the video, I will show a couple progression drills you can do to ease into sliding and will also cover how to do the "pop up" slide..

I play 12U softball, and for years, I've never been able to slide. I've tried and tried and I gave up hope until I found this video. I have my mind set on practicing sliding, until I get it right. Thank you for video! ❤️

Also appreciated this video as I'm a head first slider and this softball league is feet first only. I'm a soccer player as well and I usually tackle the base, so watching this has helped me remember the basics and not slide tackling the base or someone.

Wow, what a great video. I've been playing baseball for almost 40 years and been coaching Little League for several. I've tried all sorts of sliding drills and watched countless videos, but still about half the boys (including my son) have a problem with tucking their bent leg under itself (which could easily result in injury). I am so glad I found this video, there's not a better instructional on KZbin. After about two minutes on the first step, my boy (who until 10 minutes ago was scared to slide) is now driving me nuts trying to do pop up slides on a mat in the kitchen. Thank you very much!!!
