I enjoy doing this all year. Even post spawn, i have good luck doing this. Im 79 miles west of you. Hoping for a good spring. My grandpa and i loved fishing spinnerbaits. I miss him. He was my favorite fishing buddy. Glad i still have his tacklebox for the memories. I went through it again tonight. Made me smile and cry.

You cannot go wrong with a slow retrieve. About fifty years ago a fellow down here in central Florida showed me. We were fishing plastic worms with just the line tied to the hook and no weight. Short casts and super slow retrieve. We got strikes on every cast. Faster retrieves got fewer hits. My feel for the bait is better when I'm slower.

Hey Jimmy, great video. I heard you mention using a barbless hook. I wish that way often. I have a good catch to hook up ratio, and it's better for me and the fish. I have had one hook cut out of my hand and hope that is the only one.
