I’m trying this tomorrow Harry. This better be good (I’m from Texas and a beginner).

@@genghis144 I’m glad you’re going to try this method out! A smoke tube would work well if you have one. Keep temps low and let me know how it goes!

Interesting cook for sure - looked good - I have done baby back ribs indirect on a gas grill before - with a smoke tube - thought that worked pretty good - any day working the grill with a Blue in your left hand, right hand, or both hands, is a great day!

@@hojobbq Thanks Ted! This is one I have been wanting to do for the grilling/bbq community for a while. Everyone has a gas grill and it can be utilized for some decent bbq. Sounds like those ribs came out great! But very true, any day your outside grilling with a blue in hand is a good day 🤙🏻 appreciate you as always!

@harrythehorsebbq everything was great with your process! I like to use my smoke tube on my gas Weber, filled with pellets and small wood chunks, it'll smoke for ~4hrs. Just don't place directly over a burner, as you know...🤙🏻
@harrythehorsebbq4 ай бұрын
Yeah the smoke tub may just be a better tool to use because of all of the openings for air to flow through. Adding wood chunks to the mix of pellets is a great idea!

Thank you! I was really impressed too! It proves that you can make a tasty brisket on a gas grill with some love and attention to detail

Would soaking the pellets in water help with slowing the burn? They used to soak wood chips for smoking fish.
@harrythehorsebbq5 ай бұрын
@@mtu-engineer3220 that’s a good idea, but when the pellets are soaked in water they tend to expand and then crumble into saw dust, so it may be too messy. Wood chips are a good alternative or try smoldering a wood chunk like I mentioned in the video

I was wondering if you could have used butcher paper to wrap it up after the first 10 hours of cooking it???
@harrythehorsebbq3 ай бұрын
Appreciate you watching! Yeah you definitely could have done that. Since the gas grill has heat coming from the bottom, I foil boated the brisket to help continue to render the top fat. Butcher paper wrap is always a good choice
