FYI, tip #5 at 4:02 has some doubled-up audio for a few seconds... I don't know if YT lets you fix that without deleting the vid, though..

Set your bindings one notch back further than normal helps a bit as well. Your back leg will thank you

Will save to watch later list and maybe watch next year. Snow melting at my hill and no snow in forecast for 2 weeks. Season is toast. Worst year ever, by a longshot

A board with a profile that has rocker in the nose and a tapered tail would be ideal.

I wish I had seen this video before I went to mammoth this past season, had a bad time because I had no clue what I was doing and was too scared to go to powder when they had just been dumped like 12-16 feet of snow

You forgot to mention that while riding in the trees should never be done alone, it ESPECIALLY shouldn't be done alone in a deep powder day. Tree wells are no joke.

We don't have that much powder here in Latvia. Some 30...35 cm max, more only where wind blows it into. So, couple of years ago in a forest, riding some 3 m from a pine tree, my board tip got kicked aside by a thick broken tree branch, that was buried just an inch below surface. I am not so fast to react, and landed into tree. Luckily, in a way, that my body was straight parallel to tree. My ribs were painful for a couple of months. Since then, I'm scared to ride powder close to trees, because there are lots of who-knows-what under the surface. Any exercises to learn lightning fast and precise powder turns?
