Awesome thanks for sharing. Sometimes it's good to re-visit the fundamentals of using a torch and solder. I go back a lot. This was great!

Great video. Will soldering jump rings help me grow nasturtiums? TIA

Hello Jeanette, thank you for your video😁. I have two questions: As I saw, there is not filed a little flat spot on the bezel and the jumring for better connection. Now I don't know, if it is necessary or not. Without flat spot it is more beautiful, but I'm afraid, the soderjoin will break. In your solderbook I read, that you pass the solder through the rolling mill very thin. How thick is after your soldersheet? As I haven't a rolling ill is it better to hammer a solder wire flat and cut it after or hammering a soldersheet. Have a nice weekend. Greetings from Germany Maren

I stopped bothering with the flat years ago and the jumprings don't come off. Just make sure you have a good solder connection. You can just hammer your wire or sheet solder thinner as you can to be able to cut small pieces. :)

We used a 00 for adding the jump ring. :)

What type of soldering block did you push the bezel into? I recognize the larger square soldering surface as a Solderite board.

It is a magnesia block. It is soft enough to press bezels down into it. It burns away pretty quickly but it comes in handy for projects like this. :)
