By far the most pleasant, teacher on the internet. I know he knows a lOT but he’s able to give it to us in pieces we can practice and learn. Thank you!

Thank you so much Rob! This was a really nice way to teach soloing and also a great tie in to the “CAGED” system. From someone that teaches from time to time, I always seem to pick up such great pointers from your videos, this is another wonderful example, thanks again. Buddy

Hey Buddy, always glad to hear from you, I’m so glad that my lessons have helped you with your teaching plans. As someone who taught private lessons for over 10 years, I know how hard it can be to keep those sessions fresh and exciting.

The secret is simple then. Learn all positions and notes. Everything comes after.
@swiftlessons5 жыл бұрын
Yep, from there it’s just learning licks, and writing solos to develop your repertoire and style.

Sorry, I can play the chords and I can play the scale shapes, but I really don't see how the scale shapes "outline"the chord. Looks like there are notes that are in the chord shape and ones that are not. Picturing the chords doesn't seem to help me find all the notes.

I struggle with this too. Hope someone can explain this.
