Thanks for the video. As I understand it, husks thrown onto the build by flingers are not part of the spawn, so can be killed by aa traps without spawning a new husk. Disregard if I misunderstood you. On another note, what stops phasing through of husks when you use floor launchers and edited cones up top? I have to use ice king to stop it. Any thoughts? Is it the floor freeze traps?

I believe you're correct about husks created by flingers, but as my builds aren't relying on preventing any spawns happening, it's not really an issue if they are. With the walls edited with doors, the more tricky husks, eg smashers, are much less of a problem. With regards to the husks phasing, this seems to happen when husks are too close to structures. I used to get it quite often in jail builds before husks depawned, there'd be the odd few that would phase out of the jail. As to why Ice King and floor freeze seem to mitigate the issue, it could be that as soon as the husk is frozen, it loses all forward momentum and so doesn't make it through the wall. That's a blind guess, however, don't blame me if it's entirely incorrect!

@@V1ctyM yes, I may have misunderstood your comment about the flingers, no problem there. Oh, and v blocks still work after the update, you just need to make the half stair a 90 or 180 degree edit now. FYI. Thanks for the reply.

What perks for the pot shot would you recommend and what is your opinion on the deathray

My potshot is perked as CD, reload, physical, cr, damage to mist monsters and bosses, affliction because I use it primarily to kill flingers when soloing high level missions. I have no comment on the deathray, I don't think I've ever used it.

It does work for lower level missions. If you're lower power level, you may need to watch out for trap durability. If you have Machinist Harper, she gives somewhere around 17.5% additional trap durability when in support.

In a retrieve the data, what does it mean when you finish in around 12 blocks of data instead of the 16? Cause that happens to me from time to time

Each block of data takes 30 seconds to download, for a total of 8 minutes. If you don't shoot the balloon down, there isn't enough time to download all of the data. Similarly, if a husk damages the data while a file is downloading, the file is lost. As with every mission, there are levels of success, each granting marginally more rewards than the previous. 100% download is maximum reward, 75% download is one tier down, so downloading 12 - 15 files of data will give slightly less reward than a perfect run.

Any number of things can go wrong in a build, even when it's worked flawlessly a thousand times before - my Plankerton endurance failed at wave 19 yesterday and it's been fully AFK-able for months. The most common reason for a stall build to fail due to smashers charging is animals - although a smasher won't charge a doorway, it will charge a wolf or raptor near the door and can cause collateral damage. Even when AFK, you can never truly be AFK.

What caused the mini boss to ignore the walls? Just having doors?

Exactly that. For some unknown reason, walls with doors are not seen as a valid target for charging smashers, rampant minibosses or propanes to throw their tanks. It doesn't stop other husks hitting them, so you can't just throw up level 1 wood and be done.

I had the same problem too but It only work when I didn't place a cone on the 2nd floor of the build and my teammates and I stayed at the top, 2 stairs place on the cones and then 2 walls high.
