31:00, I thought for sure you would take the 5 Hamlet shape and and plug that into the bottom right where the monsters were! You would have still gotten a coin from the bottom mountain, completed a row, and knocked off 2 monster boxes! It's so damn easy for me to Monday morning quarterback this stuff as opposed to play it myself! Thanks for the awesome playthrough, Liz!

Thanks so much. I had been excited about this game, but was really turned off by the take-that aspect of the Ambush cards. Your playthrough has me back on the bandwagon since it looks really fun as a solo experience. Thanks again, Liz.

I think the ambush cards are cool as they bollocks up your plans...I guess you can just keep them out of the deck if you so choose......

I like the ambush cards, but use the solo rules in multiplayer games for using them. :)

So...I played along, but I used the B side. That borderlands scoring card really pays off with the wasteland! I got an amazing score of 161!

great playthrough! it help me a lot! at 33:56 you cover a ruin without flipping a ruin card, it's possible to do that? because in the same area it could be possible to draw the figure without touching the ruin. Thanks!!

Great explanation and now interested in getting this one too!😊 Don’t enjoy “ take that” though and glad solo doesn’t play with it but playing with others too, so not sure if good buy for me. Do you play enough solo that it is worth buying? Is there another option then take that you could think of? Could you choose your own place to ambush like in solo variant?

Thanks for watching! I don't think so-the rules say, "on your map sheet, starting in the corner indicated by the ambush card, and proceeding along the edge of the map in the direction indicated by the arrow, attempt to legally draw the monster shape without flipping or rotating it. If you cannot legally draw the monster shape anywhere along the edge of the map, move one space in from the edge and attempt it again, starting in the same corner and proceeding in the same direction." I think I did go in the wrong direction-it should have been a bit "higher" on my map-but placement along the edge was correct.

Nice game but it should not be categorized as a "roll and write" since there is no dice. How about "draw and write"?

I totally get where you're coming from. I just tend to just include "flip and fills" in the roll and write category because they would fill the same type of "space" on game night or in a game collection. Quick, small, involve writing on a player sheet, only key difference is responding to cards as the randomized element instead of dice. Thanks for watching/commenting!
