I made another video like this during Season of the Deep, but I constantly get people asking if it's still doable. So this is an updated version. I showed another clear with Tractor Cannon earlier in the season, but I've had quite a few people mention about Dragon's Breath to me since then. It works very well.
The footage at the start is with the Transcendent Blessings and Taken Armaments, and the second clear is without any of those. Obviously both of those mods will be a huge help, particularly Taken Armaments. I'd suggest trying to get that first. It's still viable without though, as shown in the video.
Additionally, here's some frequently asked questions from the previous video, as they still apply now:
"Kalli teleports away"
Two things to prevent this. The first is to make sure your initial Witherhoard shot isn't too early. You want it to hit right as her shield goes down in the middle, right before she teleports away. The second is to make sure there's constant ticking damage after she teleports. Throw the grenade in the spot where she teleports right before she does, make sure there's no gaps in damage after, and the constant damage from the grenades and scorch will keep her there.
"Standing on the plate kills me"
The plate is split into thirds, and 2/3 of those will have a blight on them that will kill you with a blast. Stay in the 1/3 that doesn't have a blight.
"Can this be done on Hunter / Titan"
Both Hunter and Titan don't have the ability to consistently defeat Kalli as quickly as this. They can defeat Kalli in a longer manner, but ultimately this setup on Warlock is by the fastest and most reliable, and the other two do not compare right for this farm.
"Can I do this with other people"
Definitely! Even one extra person will make this easier. Have them stand near the plate, and not on it, and deal whatever damage they can. As long as they're not killing the Thrall or luring them away from you and your grenades, you'll be able to do this the same, just with extra damage. You obviously won't have Solo Operative, but they should be able to make that up and then some.
"Why not do this with LFG / other people"
As I mentioned already, there's numerous valid reasons as to why somebody will not, or cannot, do this with a group. Maybe there's time constraints where they can only sporadically do a run here or there, maybe it's connection issues, or maybe it's simply personal preference. There's a number of completely valid reasons as to why this would be preferable solo, even when a group is more efficient.

If you don't have Witherhoard, you can use the Necrotic Grips to apply poison instead. Shoot Kalli once to start the fight, then run up and melee her (unpowered melee, change your keybinds if needed), and run to the plate. Swap necrotics to sunbracers while you slide onto the plate. This makes the swap simpler, and you keep more heavy ammo since your heavy slot doesn't need to change.

People can be very toxic, which is funny to me for Destiny considering the game isn’t that difficult or serious. People rage quit teams for failing 1 time during a raid, and people who request you submit a resume just to join their fireteams. People who will look up your 100+ clears of the raid before starting. Most raids are not that hard and to be honest, I’ve met people with 5 clears that are way more fun, chill, and good at the game Vs someone with 100 clears that enforces authority and toxic superiority over other raid members. Wish more people enjoyed the idea is a co-operative shooter, meaning we are all on the same team and one person can make up for any “downside” to bringing a noob.

Fact is, that people can't farm raid guns and other staff, low percentage have this in their inventory. If you don't interesting in searching group, you can forget about half of the game. Even more of it.

For the peeps that are having trouble getting her to stop teleporting... you have to be fast getting to the plate after you shoot the witherhoard. GUN IT to the plate, avoid the wipe balls by standing at the very edge of the plate, and switch classes on the plate. The point is to get her to spawn fast enough into your thrown grenade while she still has the witherhoard debuff.

I was farming this last night with two different LFGs for about 2 hours (under 4 minutes per run including load times, etc.) and each run was really hit or miss in terms of drops. RNG goes hard, but I did manage to complete my Apex Predator and Tyranny of Heaven patterns and get 1-2 more red borders for each other weapon. With luck (RNG), I'll get all the other patterns complete tonight. Edit: I had terrible luck last night. 22 runs and only ONE red border. Rage quit, then went to the Shuro Chi checkpoint, got a red border out of the secret chest under the bridge. XD This game sometimes...

As someone with Taken Armaments but no Blessings or gear with Riven's Curse, I find it's important to keep Dragon's Breath uptime if you're having trouble replicating the strat. You get to fire 2 rockets per grenade cycle, once I focused on that and grenade spamming she was consistently around 10% maybe before she jumps for final stand. Pick up the orbs from the melee kills and DPS her down at this point. If I could get an orb during the grenade phase it was nice but running around for one before starting grenades seemed dicey.

I was almost wondering if there was some sort of patch currently. I’m running it now, and even seemingly with constant DoT damage from nades and Dragons breath, she teleports away. Engulfed in flames she still teleports. I went ahead and invited 2 ppl. One with dragons breath. Other with sunbracers and witherhord. And she still teleports in the middle of constant damage

@@lonnief2 The most important is the initial Witherhoard stick, after successfully farming it a few times. Too early and it will wear off before you have the chance to lock her down. Too late and you missed. It's best if you land the stick during her teleport animation and are pretty close to the plate you want to use. Trying to do a drive by might not cut it if you still have a distance to get to the plate.

5:30 this is what makes someone like Eso an incredible player. He has the game knowledge that the close thrall will die before he can hit him with the melee so he targets the far one. Its such a simple thing but my boomer brain thought "oh a close thrall even better."

Well you can do the exact same thing, you only kill the far thrall every cycle. That is the only skill required. The other thralls walk into your solar grenades while in the air to recharge the melee to kill the far thrall again.

Entrance plate, Abyss, and Bridge all hard-require additional players due to needing Enlighten to complete the encounter. First chest is technically soloable if you can get a checkpoint after entrance plate but before Abyss. Second chest is impossible even with a checkpoint, I think. Ir Yut is soloable, I think it's even been done on master, but it's pretty difficult, involving killing the wizards through walls with Lasting Impression rockets and having a really solid Navigator/12P/Banner of War rotation for boss damage. Crota is soloable due to finisher yeet bug completely circumventing the encounter (patch notes claiming this method was fixed were a lie). Works on master, isn't hard to execute per se but is very finicky with respect to Crota and knight AI. It's kinda boring, but definitely worth grinding attempts of that on master at least once IMO, great way to get raid adepts (assuming it still clears the challenge mode like it used to). It's actually the only raid encounter I've personally solo'd other than VOG door opening (which is super free). VODs are on various youtube channels showing clears of both of those.

Last season i had a like 6 hours grind to get almost all red borders done from each weapon. Only 2 red borders were missed back then. You should get at least Apex, Supremacy and Chattering Bone.

I tried this last season and could not get it to work. I wondered if it was because I was on console, and by the time Kalli loaded back in to the plate she had lost her Witherhoard tick damage (it seemed to take longer than this) so i tried Anarchy and still couldn't get it to work. Looking at this new video, is it the pre-thrown grenade on to the area where she re-appears BEFORE she re-appears the real trick here I wonder? I think I was waiting for her teleport animation to come in before I threw the first grenade...

If you are having trouble keeping her locked to the plate there’s a couple things you could be doing wrong. I play on console and have done this so it’s most likely you are either timing the witherhoard shot BEFORE her shield actually goes down or you are not keeping consistent enough damage on her to keep her locked. Definitely not a bad idea to try throwing a name before she teleports because if there is basically any time between the witherhoard damage ending and you hitting her with nades etc she will teleport to the middle and then you are basically dead no matter what. it's also worth mentioning that this is literally for the entire duration of killing her. If you mess up your grenade rotation or stop damage at any point before she is dead she will become free to move around and spawn her weapon(aka wipe you)

For some reason I have been having a hard time keeping her in the same spot. I tag her with WH just as she fires her one shot from her starting point. I throw the grenade down so it’s there when she gets there and as I start going into my sunbracer rotation she still ends up teleporting. I even get all three granades on her and she still teleports. I’m at a loss for this one. I made it work once then after I can’t seem to keep her from getting away

Same for me, stuck at either 450k or 2,5- 2,7M There seems to be no downtime second to breath, tried for hours now. She teleports every time at early stage or at 60% health also inbetween, it seems like a bug when jt succeeds, because its probably been patched since then. It’s a 6 month season and this exploit at an Last Wish week seems in-coincidental to be inconsistent

I tried this strat yesterday. Throw the grenade, use the snap on the thrall to activate the gauntlets. Consume the grenade and spam the grandes while airborn. But she kept teleporting.

you need to run the queenswalk encounter for the actual loot, riven only give you a key to open the chest after queenswalk

The Witherhoard shot prevents her from teleporting away, but you can use other methods of DoT ticks to get the same result if you don't have Witherhoard. Anarchy, or Necrotic Grip poison also works I'm sure.

You're probably tagging her with the Witherhorde/damage over time too early. Witherhorde only lasts for 8 sec on direct hit so you have to wait until she's almost fully teleported before sticking her. You also want to get to the plate and start damaging pretty quickly after that as she'll leave if she's not being damaged I had this same problem myself, that timing is killer

We got one normal loot drop (weapons or armor), then after we only got engrams and other trash loot. Is this really still farmable with multiple people for good loot? Cause that's not what we experienced.

Weekly raid rotation. Since LW is the weekly featured raid, all bosses drop loot on every kill

Im doing everything youre doing but she just keeps teleporting away, apparently she moves if shes not being damaged.. im doing 100k of damage with constant solar grenades on her and she teleports away. I just dont get it, shes being literally melted by like 5 solar grenades and boom shes outta there.

Works with any amount of people, just have everyone else use normal DPS weapons while the solar warlock does what's in the video

I did the solo farm for a couple of hours today, and it worked as normal for me. If you are not doing enough damage to straight up kill her at the platform, she will eventually move to the middle. Are you sure you are not just reaching the time limit?

@@lil_boy_3332 Would highly recommend to get more Trancendant blessing mods if you are struggling with damage. Once I got 3-4 mods on, I could even wiff a sunbracer proc or two and still get the kill. Makes it more consistent for sure.

Impressive. I don’t want any part of any encounter you would say is ‘hard’ lol. Can’t get her to stay stuck, but will keep trying. I think I may be sticking her with witherhoard too early or too late. The theory crafting is flawless though. Yet, I may just go for legit mode instead. My dumbass dismantled a full stack of transcendent blessing mods when they became mods became universally unlocked- not so much- should’ve been a caveat at that point in time.

You also want to get to the plate asap. Ideally as close to it as possible and still tag your witherhord. The faster on the plate, the faster she teleports and she'll still have the tick damage applied. This is why if you're with someone else you want to start it instead by getting on the plate.

you can swap loadouts/equipment, however whenever you change any ability, you lose all of it. so the loadouts he swaps probably kepp all of his abilities the same but his equipment changes

I tried doing this, but I'm wondering how he's able to swap loadouts while keeping his grenade. Every time I try it, I have to wait for my grenade to recharge.

Your subclass is setup differently between the loadouts. Make sure the Super, Aspects, Fragments... even the abilities all need to be the same between the two.

You can try with a team, it can be done this way and damaged much faster or your team of 6 can run the plate challege too and get double loot Add me and maybe we can get a team together to farm HarvestDeezNuts#4743
