I don’t know if you will see this message but my z3 have a problem when it gets to temperature it miss fires and loses power, I can put my feet all the way to the floor and it barely moves. I scanned the codes and it said my camshaft sensor was bad, I changed them but the problem was still there. I also got a code that said FUEL CONTROL (bank 2 sensor 1) is bad. Should that sensor be the problem

Hm the fuel pump and rail pressure regulator to double check? Is yours an obd 1 or 2 interface? Maybe that code reffers to a knock sensor. Regarding just when warm, sounds like a coil pack. It's tricky, because even with my girlfriend's e90 n53 engine, which is a spacecraft versus my car, it still gave her on the scanner emission sensors being faulty when it turned out to be a bad fuel pump, since it missfired when cold.

Thanks for sharing. I have the same issue when the engine is warm on my e63 m6. I've changed the Crankshaft sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel tank, carbon canister, fuel tank vents, fuel injectors, fuel pressure sensor, water pump, thermostat, coil packs, spark plugs, engine coolant temperature sensor... but the car is supercharged and the warm issue only started after supercharging. Any idea what else it could be?

Oh wow the v10 s85. What about the vanos selonoids? Maybe warm they loose pressure somehow. Any loose intake hoses ?(i had once an issue where the engine would stop alltogheter at idle because of a cracked vacum intake hose - much simpler system than your engine but who knows) If indeed is the supercharger any warranty from the shop to have everything from thier end checked ?

@@alexandmachines I will check but Vanos Solenoids should be okay! Could it be my starter is getting too hot from the charger? Btw I also have an e34 525i. Beautiful cars. I see you have one also.

@@samsandhu7198 Starter hm long shot. But considering how much you changed already, anything could be it. I has an issue with the abs. Took me ages to figure it out, in the end it was the relays but they burnt after i checked them. Oh wow nice collection. Yes love these cars :) Nice to meet you Sam. Good luck ! is this the same sensor as in a m52b20?

It should be. If you have a VIN number you can look for it on bmwfans.info 👍

I have this problem with the M54, If you guys have this problem on the m54b30 the camshaft sensor is in the front of the engine, symptoms are hesitation to start when warm. Hope that helps.

Crank position sensor, yesterday we solved same problem on a 328i.
