I have a question , when you were eliminating the equation 1 and 2 , why didn't you change the signs of the numbers ?

Because at the first he is subtracting the equations so he changed the signs but on solving the eqn 1 and 2 he is adding the equations so on adding the equations we won't change the symbols That's why he didn't change the symbols
