This isn't randomly shooting Flipendo until it happens to work. There'll be an arrow on face of the pillar, and one on the die - you need to line up both of those faces AND have the arrows point the same way. Stand in front of the pillar, the side with a little arrow towards you, and cast Flipendo until the matching die face comes round to match. If the arrows are pointing in the same direction, great, you win. If the faces now match, but the arrows don't, move yourself to the left or right of the pillar, and cast Flipendo again. These casts now rotate the die in such a way that the arrow rotates. Move back to the front, check which way you've rotated, and repeat until you win. It's easier than it sounds, but chances are that just spamming Flipendo won't solve these for you, so give it a go :)

I will say that I big brained and tried to solve this puzzle in every way except the right way. Including but not limited to- using leviosa to levitate all three blocks and then stopping time on them, Levitating the blocks and slamming them down against the pillars...repeatedly...and trying to blow them up.

Late to this game but just for anyone no understanding how to get it to flip horizontally which is what i came looking for. Aim at the corner where the dice (or pillars) meet. And after about 4 or so times the pictures will align. Aim at the face of the dice part of the pillar to then rotate vertically to align them rightside up

Yo there is this treasure vault near Feldcroft with four stone pillars. Three of those have dice with arrows pointing in three directions, the fourth matching dice is missing. I assume you have to levitate and flipendo that last dice on top of the last pillar with the arrow pointing downwards but it just doesn't work. Does anyone know what I mean?

I’ve come here for this comment, I used leviosa to take the cube off before realising I needed to use flipendo. Now I can’t use leviosa to get the block back on because it just falls off 😤

@@linekarlsenuhlen2702 So it was as simple as logging out and back in. They reset and the cube is back on top of the pillar. Or at least it fixed for me with that trick. Hope that helps.

Okay, so what do you do to turn the dice, though? I am on a trial right now, no problem getting it to rotate vertically, but nothing rotates it horizontally Edit: apparently you just keep casting from all sides until the game decides it is going to actually work. Just spent about 5 minutes on one single cube, stand on one side, repeatedly casting Flippendo, it gives me the same four faces always the same direction, go to the next side, same thing, go to the next side, same thing, go to the next side, again. I went around that cube many times before it finally started rotating horizontally so I could finish the puzzle

For me it was pretty easy. The stone will flip "away" from you when you cast flipendo. So you have to choose carefully from which side you're gonna cast the spell on it

You don't "turn them" - if you need to turn it, cast from one corner - lets say - North. And then go to the East and cast again, and that's effectively "turning" it.

There is one in manor cape that has the top brick off of the bottom pedestal. Even using wingardium leviosa, the top doesn't sit on the pedestal. I haven't found a way to complete it yet.

@40's With Dori! yeah it is a bug in the game. I had to go back to the room of requirement as no other fast travel spot worked for me. Then it was set on top when I returned as it should be.

I hate this kind of trial in the game and not because of using flipendo only the part I hate is if you want to move around the whole block to see all of the symbols some of the sides are just completely blocked off which is infuriating to me even though there is an easier way to do that without having to go around the pillars but I want to see the symbols lol

This is the most idiotic puzzle and it is exasperating that to solve it one has to brainlessly just keep hitting flipendo until the “programming” of the game decides to flip the cube right.

Terrible guide once again. It isn't random. Depending on which side you're standing on will determine which way you flip the stone. So just match one side, and then step to the left or right side and flip them. Done. It takes 2 seconds. If you aim and then cast flippendo, you won't move forward. Allowing you to just stand still and cast the spell.
