Hands down the best call of the wild collab possible. I very much appreciate everything you have both done to help myself and others with every aspect of the game. I currently have 12 GOs, 4 of which are Red Deer. The best Red Deerr trophy I have right now is the best scoring of the GOs, he's a 270. But I am still grinding for super rare so fingers crossed. I have had a super troll but that just makes more determined. Fact is I just love to grind.

First thanks for making all of the content that you make it's been very helpful for new players . I see here that a lot of people are asking for the red deer grind, so I'll say what was my experience on teawaroa. I'm relatively a new player started playing few months ago so when i bought dlc i was only level 29 and had no money for the tents so it took me a little longer for proper set up but when i found all the zones, it's between 40/42 zones.I started shooting everything above level 4, i have manage to count all the bucks on the map it's around 135 and after 1500 kills the map had over 95 level 4's. I was stacking diamonds and periodically shooting few every round. The GO spawned the day before the new update came out after some 1700 kills🎉 at that point i had over 20 diamonds on the map so i decided to shoot them all in one then go for the fabled😂..it was awesome the adrenaline rush was through the roof 😂😂.at the end of the grind i had 35 diamonds 3 rares 16 trolls..after that i didn't came back on the map until today and i just wanted to test the new guns on the red deer, on my second run there he was 10 fabled😮..i was in shock, plus few diamonds and level 7 piebald.. so this method is working perfectly... sorry for the long text but i hope it's gonna help someone. thanks to both of you for my trophy's

i‘m at the point where i managed to seperate exterior and shooting lakes, but somehow i always have to go back to the exteriors because big levels keep spawning every now and then. heards that usually are made of 3 males then get an additional one that seems to spawn as he wants to. am i doing something wrong or is that somewhat normal?

I'm finding soft point bullets with the .338 work better to drop red deer than polymer. Single lung drops them in seconds.

I've watched this video three times now to get everything fully understood but the only thing that isn't explained is exactly how to shoot down an exterior zone, I still rotate most zones in NZ but some of the lakes I really hate and would love to never go there again. I often get diamonds spawn in the places I hate lol. Do I need to shoot certain levels at exteriors, shoot more than two in a single drink time, what's the secret? Got 3 Great Ones from Cuatro. 1 from Parqe and im working on #5 on Te Aweora. 4800 kills with 58 Diamonds. The best one was Parque because it was few hours before population reset and it was secondary grind to take pressure off main grind 💪

OMGOSH! Im so stupid. Since leaving this comment, I’ve found your entire PLAY LIST of red deer grinding that answers more questions that i could even come up with. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Thank both of you so much for all your hard work!! 👏🏻 My hubby bought CoTW when it first came out. I promptly stole it, hogged the console and he started playing Gran Turismo. I haven’t played since 2020 but apparently I’d gotten 241hrs playtime before I moved to Red Dead. I’m a horse person. It was only a matter of time… 😬 ANYhoo! Here we are, 2023, hubby now plays on PS5 and I have the 4. Kid’s off to college in fall so hubby said he and I should start playing CoTW together. Our play styles couldn’t be more polar opposite so yippee! 🫠 If he decides he HAS to continue to run around like a sugared up toddler, I’m taking him to Parque or Savannah and fast traveling away. You want a buffalo? How about a cape or water one? Here ya go! No need for a separate caller, YOU ARE the caller. Have a good time… Heh heh HERE’S MY ACTUAL QUESTION 😁🤓; I have QC map and want to grind for GO Red deer. Is it worth doing on QC or should I go ahead and buy the TA map? He got the TA map in the master Hunter bundle, but he isn’t going to be a herd manager. I’m very methodical so I’m definitely good with working a circuit on my map once I figured out the process but I’m NOT going to work hard on his map in multiplayer cuz for real, it’ll send us to a marriage councilor. 🤣 Just as an aside… I’ve started back by playing on Hirsch because apparently I hate myself. 🙄😏 I guess I must’ve played my hubby’s profile up to level 25 because that’s where he was when he picked up the controller. I’d played mine through level 60, three different times because I’d gotten bored. What can I say, it was a different game back then. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Before he bought his copy last night he wanted to hunt bison, he had to play on the PS4, he’s only ever hunted Hirsch in the past, he’s comfortable there, so ok, fine, whatever, we’ll play on Hirsch. Last night I poked around by myself and wouldn’t you know it, I found a solo 8! I was pumped! THEN I found a solo 9! Having no clue about herd management, I worked for 2 hours to figure out where to put stands and tents so I could shoot the 9. After CRAWLING AROUND FORRRREEVVVVVER without remotely getting close to them again, much less close enough to shoot them cuz I’m rusty and will 100% screw them up, it hit me. I suddenly remembered why I always hated Hirsch and bought all the other maps… 😏 The hubby is about to get a crash course in wolves, grizzlies, mountain lions, FREAKING DEADLY, MEAN A- GOATS!! I’m done with Hirsch. It can keep its stupid Bison AND it’s stupid Red Deer. I’m done wasting my time. BOOOOO!! 😝

Great videos. Started my red deer grind 7 days ago. 3rd day in got my first level 9 legendary diamond. Next day exploring new lakes, got a random level 5 diamond Fallow Deer. 6th day in, yesterday got another level 9 legendary diamond. Then today another. However I got to quit being so excited and trigger happy and leave those level 9 diamonds to stack LOL. But is this a good sign that I'm doing it right since I'm getting the level 9 legendary diamonds in so close together!?!?

It has no stags bigger than 4s after they have respawned

This can happen, and I still don't know how or why, with any species...maybe a zone or 2 missing. Just leave them. Don't worry about a few zones having higher scoring animals.

No you shoot the mid levels. Low levels will not spawn a great one

You pick which zones you want as main and exterior. Main zones are just zones you like. Nice and wide open. Easy to pickup. Exterior you pick zones where it's hard to see the whitetail, they disappear quickly, things like that

Recheck around every piece of water, pick up need zone indicators, follow tracks until you're satisfied that you can't find any more

I got to the point were I am only shooting the main shooting lakers and all my other zones are 5s or under do the respawns of the main shooting lake go to those non shooting zones or do I not have to worry about them at all?

Go to all zones in one rotation. not just one kind. Main shooting lakes and exterior lakes at the same time

I’ve got a level 8 piebald red deer and an albino level 8 water buffalo in the last couple weeks. I’m so due for my first super rare.

The best red deer trophy I have is a super rare 264 piebald and I have a G1 too. That was when I was doing hm but the next red deer grind I will do without hm.

when you said that u shoot level 5 and up do u shoot also nines wich most are diamonds in te awoara

You stack the level 9s if you’re doing hm until your exterior zones have all small deer

So I have a question can I only shoot in zone 15 times out of my hole grind our only when there’s hunting pressure

When there is hunting pressure. Once you shoot other zones, the hunting pressure lowers and you can continue to hunt it without killing the zone. The more you shoot from the zone, the color will change and become more lighter/brighter pink. As you continue hunting other zones, the bright pink will start to turn back to a darker red/purple as the hunting pressure lowers.

Do I rotate through exterior zones or do I shoot one down all in one go? And do I make every zone an exterior zones or just six?

I would rotate so you don't cause too much pressure in one area and possibly delete a zone by accident

@@25vidikron shoot every male in main zones except 9 you want to target the higher levels first but you don't want 4 or below in main. for exterior zones shot 5 and up including the 9s for exterior you only want 4 and below is those zones.
