1 don't listen to teachers that speak in slow motion. you will end up speaking in slow motion. 2 Don't listen to teachers that repeat words in series one after the other you will end up repeating words naturally. listen to teachers that repeat words in frases. 3 Choose at least 2 professors male and female to listen every day rewatching their videos over and over again till you learn their content of by heart ❤

I sat for the B1 First Certificate like 20 years ago and then I kept learning on my own bc Im all day watching, reading, listening (videos, tv shows, etc) English. I may know if something is wrong, but don't know why, it just rings a bell. Now, Im lost about my level bc I can pass some parts of a C2 level exam online, some of C1, some other parts I make mistakes haha I totally agree. Now Im working to finish off my B2 level from scratch and continue in a more organized manner. ❤ x from Argentina.

Hi Gideon, always à pleasure to follow your vidéos, i try to speak along with you reading the subtitles live, yes that's clear the more you speak the better result you achieve, personnally i have listen thousands of song in English from the Beatles to Led Zep and the Who among many others like Neil Young and Dylan, i have also read many novels in English (which i think i am proud of!) .Still, i haven't got enough, i am not satisfied and i want to do more.I think it is important when you are à learner, you must understand you could learn all your life.the other day i was listening to George Martin explaining that John Lennon was never satisfied with all his recording, he always had the will to do better.I like this attitude.Okay, Gideon, i hope that step by step you have reached John Bonham Bonzo's level !!!!! Jimmy Page is my idol but i will never play like him !!! Take care and have a good one.Serge from France.

Hi, thanks for a very useful video! All the tipps you desribed are really important. I can only add that you can listen to a British podcast and write down the oral text you are hearing. It should help you to make your spelling better as well.

To be honest... I prefer being a writer to being a broadcaster.. I like to express my thoughts more through writing... But things change when it comes to learning languages, we must overcome our nature no matter what ,and move our tongues.. I wish there was a capsule, a pill we could swallow for every language in the world we aim to speak 🙃... For me, I find reading and listening simultaneously, then reading aloud what we listened to, to be one of the most successful methods.. As well as the shadowing technique as you mentioned... Thank you, Teacher Gid, you always giving us doses of hope and optimism in reaching our goals soon God willing .😊

I'm watching this video on 2x speed and I'm keeping up with everything you say, is it a good sign? 😂 Great tips! I'd love to share some tips I've found really helpful 1- Record and listen to yourself. That helps you to check your pronunciation mistakes and improve your accent. 2- Use AI apps which is a great way to practice speaking, especially if you don't live in an English-speaking country. 3- Follow video creators so you can learn daily spoken English, how native speakers speak and express their thoughts, and be familiar with their culture. 4- Stop translating and think in English. Thank you so much for your effort! Greetings from Egypt 🙌

Hello Gideon this is my first time here! These are all great tips indeed especially the two parts about making language part of our daily life and repetition, in my opinion; yes, I've learnt to sprinkle the language all over my day and not change my life to learn the language, I hope my idea here is clear. If there was a thing I would like to add here, recording yourself would be the one I choose, because the only person or path we must compare ourselves if we wanted or did is our own one yesterday; in that way if we develop a critical ear we can understand where we need to adjust our work. Cheers, and thank you! 👋🙏😊
