Do you know if it's possible for me to assign hotkeys to some of the items in the quick menu? I have a small macro-pad that I like to use for modeling and I'd love to assign some of the items in this menu directly to a single button on my pad, but when I right-click items in the menu I don't see the "assign shortcut" option in the menu. I only see the add to quick favorites option which doesn't really help me. Fantastic addon, by the way!

I'm trying to use it, latest version of blender (3.0.1) and I cannot get the hotkey to work. It's installed, enabled, says the hotkey is D but nothing.

Look promising. Can I put more than one operator under one command? Or can be linked to a script? Some functions cannot pass parameters, instead you must use additional functions to specify certain parameters, like the ones from the lower-left menu on mesh.select_face_by_sides() and then specify "greater than" 4 from the menu window

Damn this looks fantastic and thanks for sharing your own work to everybody else. The only thing i am wondering is it possible to easily edit your addon? like remove some of the features ( i dont know how to code), because i am using hardops, boxcutter, pie editor and some other addons which have many of the features you showed and are super fast too ( and i am so used to them ), but your addon gives so much more possibilities. And thanks for reminding me about the quick key feature, i had totally forgotten about it.

Thanks! The short answer is no, menu items are not configurable through UI because it would take a lot of time that I'm not ready to invest into it just yet. However, if you really want to, you can always open the __init__.py and search (ctrl+f) for menu items that you see in UI. You can reorder them, change their text so that they have different accelerator keys, remove menu items altogether. Most likely you'll see that it doesn't require much understanding of coding. The downside of doing that would be that you won't be able to easily update the addon (I fix bugs every now and then). So for now I guess it would make more sense to not touch those items that you don't need and ignore their existence. I might look into adding customization in the future if the addon becomes popular!

However, I'm also using MACHIN3tools and MESHmachine and I'm curious how it fares along with these two, especially MACHIN3tools. Secondly, I realize I'm going to have another issue with a favorite addon of mine, Friendly Pivot, which takes the last thing that's superior in Maya, which is the Pivot ... and adapts it in Maya. And it uses the D key, which is default for Pivot manip. in Maya. Some (hotkey) rearrangement and re-prioritization needs to be done here, I realize. :-)

@@mixchief Hi, I looked at the Friendy Pivot addon after reading your message. With Quick Menu if you have something selected in edit mode and press D14, it will set the origin to the active element. To set the cursor to selected geometry you can simply press shift+s+2, it's reasonably fast imo, especially with practice. There's also D15 that will set the origin to the center of the bottom of the object. I may look into converting it to a view-dependent operator where it sets the origin to the closest side and not the bottom, but I usually need it at the bottom. Let me know if there any specific functionality that I'm missing and that you would like to see. Preferably on our discord in the #quickmenu-chat channel

3:10 this part confuses me, i dont know if its a blender version thing, you are in edit mode, i assume those 2 cubes are in the same object, but in the top you have snapping turned off yet snapping still happens, if i try to do it nothing happens but if i turn on snapping it works but i dont think it works quite like its supposed to

I wonder if its possible to add a special boolean operator for subd modifiered mesh. for e.g. boolean a cylinder onto a cube but for subd it will also under the hood copt the boolean mesh(cylinder) and scale it outwrds slightly and knife intersect it so that this subd boolean method automatically creates a boundry edge around the boolean result. Hope it make sense. hah

Before making this addon I relied on blender's quick favorites and with this addon initially I was solving the problem of quick favorites not being able to fit all of my shortcuts. By making my own quick favorites that supports submenus. That's why it's called quick menu :)
