One quick thing regarding defragmenting drives is that with a solid state drive, it is recommended that you should not defragment the drive. A note for everyone In the last step after deleting temporary files you can also use Windows+ R and prefetch and delete the files… it's also a folder which generally has temporary files… it helped me a lot ;-)

make a separate folder in your D or E drive to keep Installation setup or Exe or Msi files. When You install a large software try not to keep the app/installation data in C drive. try to maintain the C drive empty space around 40%. To do so, Go to storage, and change where to download files. Go to your browser and change the download location to D or E drive ( create a download folder to keep things neat and clean) open Run, and type 'prefetch' and delete all the files

Keeping minimum contents on desktop and reducing load on C drive speeds up computer greatly. As C drive goes on filling, speed goes down to some extent so i don't prefer loading C much more than some documents. Music, Videos and Entertainment related stuff can be kept in drive other than C drive. @CodeWithHarry
