It was! It was called Sjavargrillio sjavargrillid.is/en/ I can't remember what the price was, but definitely on the pricier side.

I haven't been in December, but have heard that traversing the roads and getting around can be very difficult due to the weather conditions. There may be some places you won't be able to reach due to road closures, and you'll be limited by the amount of daylight you get for some things, too. It will be great for the northern lights and snowy landscape, but definitely go well equipped and do your research on what you want to do and whether it will be viable at that time of year. I would suggest looking at guided tours in advance too who can provide specialist gear and vehicles. My recent trip was in June, so quite a different experience to going in December. Hope this helps!

A general guide for using drones can be found here: drone-laws.com/drone-laws-in-iceland/ Each place has differing restrictions, and some do require specific authority for use of drones, particularly in the Golden Circle, best to check the regulations of each area you wish to record before you go :)
