Thank you for posting this. Most of the other Quebec City videos are simply walking around old town and nothing more.

What was the name of the pastry place you went to twice? If I don't speak French, will I have a hard time in restaurants and stores? Also, how is the weather there in November? Thank you so much for any advice, great video!
@chrissiepops3 ай бұрын
Pâtisserie Chouquette! I have a separate video with all the food names and more details on each one :) also November is a little chilly and might have snow, so definitely dress for the weather and have waterproof boots. Most people will know English there so it’s not a problem :)

When I served in the USAF back in the early 70s, I was an HF radio communications operator. They taught us to say the alphabet phonetically. “A” was “Alpha,” “B” was “Bravo,” and Quebec was pronounced “Kay-beck.”
@chrissiepops7 ай бұрын
I’ve definitely heard it pronounced that way as well! I don’t think either pronunciation is wrong per se, as I’ve heard it pronounced both ways in Canada pretty often.
@SatanicTemptation5 ай бұрын
As someone who is from Québec I can confirm the correct pronunciation is "Kay-beck". I'm glad you liked it here, those were 4 days well spent!

Hi- going at the end of August. I am wondering if I need to exchange money or is USD fine? The rate is no longer 1:1 like before.
@chrissiepops5 ай бұрын
Hello, most places will take credit card so I wouldn’t be too worried about cash. The conversion rate is better on most credit cards anyways. I didn’t use cash at all during my trip! Only some of the more touristy businesses will take USD, but I would have a bit of CAD just in case if you prefer having some cash.

Why would you say at 10:15 “this place was so good that we came back twice” and then not tell us the name of it?
@chrissiepops7 ай бұрын
Hi there! It’s called Patisserie Chouquette. I didn’t want to overload this video with too many labels, so there is a separate video with all the specific food places. That video has more footage and the video was also linked in the description and within the video itself. For your convenience, here is a direct link to that video if you’re interested in the names of all the food places: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXXKeqSppNiWqbcsi=-SDjcQdi_k66T6sy

Yeah, we were able to walk everywhere except for the waterfall. We took the bus that was fairly easy to navigate.

Why French music ? It is not France
@chrissiepops8 ай бұрын
Hi neofils, I totally understand that it is not France, and just a French-speaking province. The music is just what was available to me with the video editing program I was using.
@ynwa35738 ай бұрын
French is the main language spoken in Quebec Province Canada, especially Quebec City. It is the most French looking town you can ever find aside from France. So it is only fitting to have French music in the background
@neofils8 ай бұрын
@@ynwa3573 The only problem for the french it is just french speaking America . Just like Mexico is the Spanish part and the U.S is the English speaking part . Do not think you would use flamenco for Mexico
