If you only have one day to spend in New York City, this one is for you! However, i have filmed this in vlog style so if you are watching this with zero interest of coming to NYC then we can still hang out together exploring the city :) There are so many other places i wanted to show you but couldnt fit it into one video so let me know if you want a part 2! This video is mostly sightseeing ❤️

This was probably one of my favorite videos of yours. I hope you make more like these over the summer. Maybe a theme compilation… top museums, top coffee spots… or maybe just different - low budget days seeing other things. I’ve been to NYC a few times (alone, in a group, and with my mom… for her first visit) and have seen some of those things. I have missed the High Line and Central Park… I’d love to see those on my next visit.

I loved Chelsea Market when my friend took me there! We went at night when many of the shops were closed, but it’s so cool and full of artsy things in there, and I want to go back during the day sometime. It’s also near the western end of the Skyline, which has its own art installation. Even if you don’t like the statues or the plants, you can gaze upon the very interesting architecture/buildings, as well as the street life below. In addition to that, the western end is very close to Little Island. My friend, who had lived in NYC for a couple of decades, hadn’t heard of it and we both experienced it for the first time together. It’s so beautiful at night (don’t miss the the foot-powered blocks that make chime sounds). Also, he and I took the free Staten Island ferry round trip, which got a lot closer to the Statue of Liberty than the park. In addition to being a good place to do some reading, the parks are a great place to people watch. Very close to the Strand, there’s also a comic book store called Forbidden Planet (it has some fun things that aren’t comic books, as well). The East Village is pretty cool to walk around -whether by yourself or with a friend. I have a very small budget and only spent money on food or coffee (except for getting a copy of Maus from Forbidden Planet), and spent less than $170 collectively over two trips in two different years (airfare and accommodations not included).

Yay. A new video. I always suggest the free things to ppl visitng NYC for the 1st time. Central Park. The Highline. Also I havent seen Little Island yet. But I wanna see that. Not the other touristy places tho. And no museums. Unless its Museum Mile (free!) Also I always recommend Coney Island. The Mermaid Parade especially. No to July 4th, or any parade… And always NO to Times Square.

When you did the christmas vlogs everyday last december I had the best time watching them, your channel is my safe space 🥰 Last year I interned in NYC for three months, my heart belongs to that city. Oh, Chelsea. I was weepy with nostalgia through this entire wonderful NYC adventure. I’ve never walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and I haven’t been to the food places you visited but the rest of it brought back so many fond memories! By the way, I don’t remember a cafe in The Strand either but it’s been many years since I was last there. Is there still a Fat Witch Bakery in Chelsea Market? I have a mug from one of my visits there back in the day. And listening to the soothing water fountains at the 9/11 Memorial as part of this cozy day of course tugged my heartstrings too. I lived on the Upper West Side on 9/11/01. ❤️🗽Thank you again and again for sharing your city life with us! I’m inspired by all of it! Clink, clink! ❤️☕️❤️

Chelsea, I cannot love you and your channel more!! Why??? Because even when you are uncomfortable or even frightened you do it anyway! My husband and I moved to Long Island where he is from when his health made living in South Jersey/Philly where I am from after 31 years. I moved to Long Island and because he couldn’t walk or do things for long periods I made several trips to NYC by myself. He passed in January and my Sister In Law insisted we walk over the Brooklyn Bridge since we were supposed to do it together “when he got better” he didn’t so we did. Your video gave me some great ideas of more things I would like to do! Thank you for being you and your content!

Wow! Another awesome video! I love how you aren't afraid of doing things by yourself. Chelsea Market looked fun! Honestly if I lived in NYC I would weigh 300 lbs, I'm a foodie & there are so many options! I've never been to an oyster bar, but I love smoked oysters from a can 😂 I love how you took us so many places but didn't break the bank. Could relate to u so much when u took us thrifting...some of those prices were too $$. Love your videos, wish I could meet you😊

I love this video! I felt like I was exploring the city with you 😊 thanks for a lovely day out. I’ve got a solo trip to Washington DC coming up and your comments about travelling solo really resonated with me. There’s nothing embarrassing about experiencing things for yourself and not waiting until other people can join you ❤ love this little community

You getting the hang of biking is so cute! A few months ago, I rode my first bike in more than 20 years, and it was way more scary than I anticipated. Side thought for viewers: If you're coming from out of town, Chelsea Market is right by The High Line, which seems pretty crowded most of the time, but is a fun touristy thing IMO.

Love it! Well done... I lived in NYC so many many years and found it very affordable myself :) Simple gal, don't drink so it was glorious. Love your channel :) The Staten Island Ferry is a free, sleeper hit... bring snacks, fresh breezes and beautiful ( during non rush hours ).
