Well done Chelsea I do a de clutter every year currently doing another atm. I never buy that much tupperware 2 for the freezer and 4 pack of smalls and reuse all of any takeaway recyclable containers instead of buying more I only toss them if they break. Dollar stores sometimes have larger bins if that is what you need or Ikea. I have as many bags as you if not more I am going to cut mine in half and give them away to people I know. I keep them in my trolley so I don't forget them as I cannot carry bags. They make them so nice in pattern these days so it's cool to have one.

I cleaned/organized my house this weekend! I'm still working on it but it looks so much better! It feels better too. I love tunes when cleaning. It makes the work more enjoyable. Also, my dog supervises and tries to help lol

Hey Chelsea - not sure if you’re still struggling with your couch arm chairs but I just got the exact couch you have (actually how I found your channel somehow) and put it together myself. I have a tip that worked for me- If you put on the arms first, use a little hammer or mallet to gently tap the arms into place, then if you take the back piece and just line up the edge on the outside (the one on the opposite side from the corner, if you can get that little guy lined up, it makes it much easier to slight adjustment the corner side and then you can slide it in. Not sure if that’s helpful or not but I was able to do it on my own that way!!

Oh! The hole on your entrance door that’s patched with the metal cover would have been for a double cylinder deadbolt. Double-cylinder deadbolts require a key for entry or exit on either side of the door and are used to secure doors with glass panes like yours. If the glass is broken, someone cannot get in as long as the key is not in the lock. In recent years, because of fire egress concerns, they are against local codes. Typically, landlords would install plywood on the inside of the door to cover the glass and provide better security but it wasn’t done in your apartment.

Chelsea, ask your landlord or super, to pry open those upper closet doors for you. You are entitled to have access to all of the storage space that comes with the apartment and it’s not an unreasonable request. Also, those windows should be fixed. They are a safety hazard and not up to standards. As a retired landlord, I’m shocked that they rent the apartment that way. In New Jersey, we were inspected by the state every five years and that would have been a violation.

Not super visually pleasing but I like to hang my reuseable bags next to/on the inside of the front door so I remember to grab them on my way out.
