how to spend a gap year

I had to take a gap year for my mental health. I used the first three months to go visit family and friends back and that was really helpful. But another 3 months later, I'm kind of stuck. And my anxiety is slowly coming back. I like the idea of committing to something like an internship because that will give me some kind of purpose. I'm in Canada. I'd love it if anyone could mention where or what kind of internships are available to someone who's not in college yet. Or really any specific ideas of what to do/what they have done during a gap year that doesn't require money. Appreciate this video. Currently about to try Project 50 and see if I can stay consistent.

that's amazing! I also chose to take a gap year (I graduated from highschool in summer) and ugh honestly... I am still so so unsure about what I want to do in my life. I spent the last four months in Canada (North an, I had the best time of my life) and now I am back in Germany and I am just feeling so so lost. Feels really hard for me because I was a really ambitious student and having this uncertainty of what to do and which degree to pursue in a few months has been really hard for me to kind of process and work on. I am planning to do internships now, I really hope that they'll be helpful!!

Currently in Europe on my gap year, and I have a few months left before I go back to college as a junior:)) Already completed a 6-month internship and started a blog - your video really inspired me to keep going and make the most of my year off!

I'm really debating taking a gap year or not, I have really bad fomo and I don't want to be behind a year if I go to college after taking a gap year. Then at the same time I have fomo of not seeing the world and traveling and experiencing new things. I don't know how to plan either though, I just feel like super unprepared for everything.

Imo college can wait; you’ll have a similar experience in college just one year later. I’m not totally sure how to plan things either though, so I can’t help you there haha :)

mmh from my pov it also depends on whether you already know what you want to study in college. I personally had (and still have lol) no idea what I want to do as a job. I am currently trying to figure out my interests, hobbies, passions and I am quite sure I would have been unhappy just jumping into uni not being sure which degree I really want to pursue. Hope this helped in some way.. did you already take a decision?
